Getting info / announcements to Clan members can be tricky.

Sure some clans don't care or need to. We do.

I know that WG has a rudimentary system where clans can post messages to their members on their clan page, but its clumsy and doesn't work when you have multiple clans.

Initially we were using TS pop-ups and special rooms with lengthy descriptions to get info out to our guys.

Then we made a website with a forum:

https://www.clandday.com/

This was such a great move for us.

I'm kinda surprised that many other clans don't have something like this, as its pretty free and easy to set one up:

- Tumbler

- Google

- Yahoo

- Wordpress

- BlogSpot

- etc etc etc

all have free webpages and/or groups.

You could start one now - for free!

Something to think about?

A lot of clans also utilize slack alongside teamspeak, or use Discord to have both message/comms functions in one for two more options.

I definitely concur that the clan messaging is clunky.

We use forums and facebook, havent really seen a advantage to slack as of yet, was suppose to replace the need for a clan forums, but I think the clan forum is better and more unique to a clan, plus its nice to see the forums people create for their clans, it takes work to make a nice informative forums and website, slack just robs you of individuality

After several attempts at building forums over the years, I've opted to not.

The initial reaction is usually good, but eventually they end up an echo chamber between several people, then die.

However, D-Day is super social So they can probably make it work.

GUNS was and Praxis is full of grinders.

But I do like working on our website.

Good job Mat.

I use several for different projects.

Thank for the offer. But I'm good for at least the next five years.

Discord is all you really need. Voice comms, announcement channels, general chat channels, and a great free mobile app for those on the go. Discord eliminates the need for any additional communication tools, and it's 100% free.
