When i first started playing WoT i didn't have much problems with the ping spikes, but as of now, it seems to happen almost 10+ times per match and it makes it very hard to be competitive.

General over view of how this effects game play from a player perspective.

Example 1, I am driving my Light and try to do a turn to go around a building/corner and instead of just going around the corner and continuing down the road, i face plant into the side of the building and have to back up to move, usually resulting in my death.

Example 2, On my Arty i am in the birds eye view i see a tank moving and i know i have to lead the target so i shoot just in front of them, "click, umm shoot? i say to myself, click click" Now i know better than to click more times (thinking my mouse wasn't working) turns out i seen the tank moving out due to the ping at 999+ and i just shot my teammate that i thought was moving away (backing up). Now i get hit for a TK or Damage my teammate and make it easier for the Enemy to kill them.

Example 3, I am in my TD and since it doesn't rotate the turret much i have to rotate myself, I turn so that i am facing the direction of the new "red dot" in hopes to kill it or at least do damage. I stop and zoom on target, then suddenly im facing further in the direction i was turning so not only do i have to turn back to aim, im either shot myself or the enemy disappears from radar because the scout got blown up and i could not help them.

Now i got more examples but i think this Tracert would help more. (removing my username from tracert)

What can i do about this? I am running wireless and i truly hate wireless anything. I'm also on a T1 connection (or so im told)

its Charlotte again, its always Charlotte.  sometimes the switch stack in Charlotte (NC) decides your packets are tasty...so it eats them

I am in South Terrace in the Adelaide CBD, and since yesterday, I have been getting these lagh spikes, today its completely unplayable. when I try to trace my route, I have critical packet loss and ping plotter is coming up with an error
Spoiler

this is beyond irritating for me, and even more so because I am in the CBD, and this only happens when I begin a tracert to the wot server. any other normal server, including normal internet activity works fine for me.

Are you by chance running Windows Vista, and are the lag spikes by chance occurring once per minute?

what about moving the test server off the live game network. No one ever tests a server on a live network. Especially is if it impacts paying customers. Basic IT one-o-one
