Hi Folks,

I decided to get back into WoT a bit, and work on Chinese tanks for something different.  I won a 20% coupon for premium store and after watching Quickybaby and a couple others say decent things about the 112 (provided one knows how to play it) i decided to buy one as a heavy crew trainer.

I knew the all-troll-armor-horrible-blunderbuss-gun  would kind of be the opposite play style from the mobile-with-accurate-low-alpha-gun tanks like the Jumbo Sherman and FCM50 that I seem to do best in, but I never expected to absolutely SUCK in this vehicle.  This is even though I try to go hull down and side-scrape whenever possible.  Because of the preferential matchmaking, my 112 tends to be toward the top of the team, and my crappy play in this thing drags down my team.  I won't blame the tank.

Can anyone link a good video that really gets at how to play this tank DIFFERENTLY than other tanks?  I really don't want to give up and sell it, but fighting in this thing is killing my already fading WN8 and win rate.

Post some replays and people will be able to offer better advice.

In the meantime, the best I can offer you it to make sure that you fully aim EVERY shot. if someone else shoots and gets that damage before you are aimed, then it doesn't matter because you are still loaded and will get the next shot. If you play like this then you will suddenly find that you dpg and winrate will start imrpoving. Once you can start hitting ~80% of you shots and penning ~75% of those shots then start focusing on map positioning.

The 110 can reliably hit stuff...the 112 not so much.

The 112 really does require you to let the gun fully settle, just so you have a higher then 30% chance to hit what you're aiming at. But at least it's armor works, unlike the WZ prem, which is just straight trash.

Don't even try sidescrapping against Japanese heavies.

I liked the 110 far more than that god awful IS2. I have never been so eager to get out of a tank.

yeah that 112 is supposed to have good armor when not showing the bottom but the turret hatches are so easy to hit and the gun is impossible to hit anytning with and i half the time cant pen the side of a russian heavy tank at tier 9 or 8. its only good 10 percent of the time.

Well the 110 is kind of an oddity because the higher tiers are derpy heavies but the 110 uses more of a pew pew gun thats heavily reliant on gold.

The one-ten is decently mobile heavy that utilizes DPM and accurate attacks to most ranges. Especially considering it is a heavy tank, with still some heavy tanks at the tier being quite inaccurate and frustrating. The armour is alright, but has serious issues. These include turret roof of only fourty (mm) being an overmatch liability. And the side armour lies, because alot of the side armour actually drops to sixty not ninety (mm)  The front hull shoulders also drop twenty (mm) compared to the frontal shape, and seriously limits its ability to angle. The tank cannot bait angle at all, the frontal shape pike sharply loses effectiveness too. Compared to T8 heavy tanks, the one-ten has good DPM and hasn't been hurt too badly by powercreep, compared to really old tanks like T32, KV4, Tiger ll, VK45A

112 is basically a T8 super heavy. But it has a terrible gun, as in a T7 gun. It is decently mobile too, very unlike a super heavy. But the gun is just awful, which is to be expected by it having the bonus of pref MM. 112 does best close ranges, and no where else but close ranges, where it can aim to its best and try to accurately use gold ammo out to one-hundred (m) max....
