well from what i have seen from streams the rewards vs the time needed, are not worth it, consumables for most of the tiers- a few boosters and final reward only a day of premium for reaching level 30 and the prestige levels a ribbon to display... i really don't think its worth the time to invest

what about the fun?

Jebus these millenials its all about the money.

I can only select from a subset of my tier 8s and i don't want these tanks for frontline.  Is there a way to pre-select tanks or is this a bug?

I have a high end gaming PC, and even at 3440x1440, I can play most games at max settings.  The FPS drop in this mode is unbearable - it is making me nauseous - and lowering the graphics settings does nothing to improve this.

for whatever reason, i am unable to shoot pillboxes in front line mode. the team around me are unloading on it- but i click and its like the mod *safe shot* is preventing me from firing. i am not running safe shot. anyone else get this issue?

This feels like Rubicon all over again  or worse a rubicon/ Ranked Battle combo  if you only play premium tanks you can make money  regular tanks you will lose so much its not funny

Yup tried it. interesting maps but it is a credit waster. Used only a couple gold rounds and still lost over 35k credits in the first round. If you can't make credits at it at LEAST at the same rate of pub matches they can keep it.

Okay so I like the new mode but a few things:

Trial tanks - Not sure if the T-32 was a good choice. Possibly another heavy like the IS-3 would've been a better choice. Also having a 3rd tank would be good. 2 is kind of limited given the tank "repair" time in match.

Attacking - It's currently too difficult to attack. Capture times need to be drastically shortened. Also defending tanks shouldn't be able to progress back south. This puts more pressure on them not to lose capture zones by limiting their play area. The final objectives have too much health. It took 6 tanks to bring down one from the rear while being destroyed by the defenders. Was the health pool even changed from the tier 10 version?

Defending - Too easy. Following the above note in attacking limiting their play area would put pressure on them. It'd also inadvertently make defending the final objectives easier by clustering the remaining defenders in the final area.

progressing in rank - needs to account for spotting and assist damage. Appears only to account for direct damage creating disincentives to play light tanks.

economy - currently the only way to stay afloat is to simply play premium tanks. The economy NEEDs to be adjusted if this game mode ever wants to return. The economy is part of what killed the rampage mode which when I got to play was fun.

To all complaining about the economy: try only playing 2-3 tanks instead of 7. If your Bulldog dies 10 times, you’re only paying one repair bill. If you’re using a new tank every spawn, you’re adding to the repair costs.

Played 2 tanks third match, zero gold ammo used. Lost over 40k credits. That's over 75k credits lost in 3 games. Not interested in the concept if it costs me that much to try it. I'd like a refund for the equipment I used on the T32FL as well. Twp out of the 3 were pretty good blowouts. Teams as well matched up as pub matches, which means they are lopsided as hell. Checked during the match and one side had 2 more players than the other, guess which side won.

I enjoyed playing my 8s against other 8s and being able to respawn from heavy to med to TD and keep playing, but I have to be honest and say that I really had no idea what I was doing out there. I was running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Before I can contribute properly I am going to have to understand the game mode better.

I like this mode (for now)!  Played 2 matches and lost both of them and still cleared after repairs and ammo costs 120,000 credits.

I used 1 premium and 2 standard tanks in one game and 2 premiums and 1 standard tank in the other game. I shot no premium rounds

in either game and I used the in battle repair facilities as often as possible.

So far so good.  I actually  enjoyed playing the game for a change.

Because after all its not a game its a job? Not once did you mention if it was or was't fun. That saddens me.

Why bother putting in a game-mode with such lousy payouts? Do you want this to fail? because it sure seems like it.

I haven't had trouble making credits at all.

EDITED because I came off as rude.

I've seen some tips in this thread or another one:

  • Stick to 2 or 3 tanks at most.  The more tanks you use, the more repair costs you'll have at the end of the battle.
  • Don't fire premium, unless you're going up against a tank with crazy high armor like the Defender - other than that, you're facing Tier 8 tanks, and you shouldn't need much, if any, premium ammo.
  • Obvious, but run a Premium tank if you're still struggling to make credits.

I LOVE IT !!!!!

No need to worry about ALWAYS being bottom tier in this battle mode ..... my only regret is that it isn't permanent.

Really good fun too.

Yes moogle, lol. what a stupid question. I'm only using the 2 tanks provided and no high priced ammo... overall it's a struggle to even break even in this mode.

Sorry, see my original post above.  Edited to be a bit more useful.

I wish there was a way to track stats for this mode.  At a guess, I'd say I've finished with between 5k and 15k dmg, and win or loss, made credits.  I think 5k should be pretty easy for all players.  I'm guessing players losing credits are firing too much premium or using too many different tanks in one battle.
