NOOOOOOPPPPEEEEEE

I am putting this nerd's post in Jello!

To not even comment on the Custom Orc skin Upholstered Seats, the amount of missions completed with the Blood Angel detachments or Derping the way through the Battlefield.

I hope it is obvious that this sale fell off the back of the truck on it's way to my top notch Tank Wholesale emporium.

Yes you can represent the empire or be a heretic and find the option to disable KRZY camos in your settings. Sadly this also turns off your ability to see my TMNT themed "Mutant" tank.

TMNT.png

Oh and any Clan camo. You sure you want to miss out your chance to kill my Michelangelo?

Time to turn on "non historical" paints/camo's are not displayed.

Just like WoWs, it gets old really quick to see giant bats representing carriers, and battle ships cruising around with blue lights and flashing whirling Steam Punk Gizmo's.

While the skins are cool, and fun to look at, between fantasy skins from other games, and the current crop of clown tank paint jobs, just starting to get real cheesy. Yes, I am old, and started playing this game (at first) for historical reasons.

But, nice additions WG, and thanks for allowing us to turn this stuff on/off.

I play WoT because I want to play WoT. If I wanted warhammer I would play warhammer.

Can you please add an option to hide these type of skins?

NOOOOOOO.

Please NO cartoon tanks.

It's bad enough having tanks with red paint and white stripes (translucent winter cammo) with a blue gun and green tracks.

I'm fine with cosmetics being a major source of revenue for the company, as long as my option turn non-historical paint on/off remains.

That KV-2 model actually looks kind of neat.  Not historical, but not awful either (except that giant silver eagle on the roof, that thing is hideous).  Anyway I already own a KV-2, so it's too bad you don't sell just the skins for gold or something.  I don't see tons of people paying $34 for a Tier VI tank that you can grind in two or three days of casual play for free.

I will, however, buy all the tanks at 50% for a total of 315,650 credits.  Play until I get 1 win in each, and then receive the EGLD, Vent Class 3, and Med Rammer from the mission.

Because those items alone are worth 1.3 million credits.  At full price.  Even on a 50% equipment sale I couldn't buy those items for 315k.  If you wait to sell your French lowbies until the event ends you can make all those credits back and get the equipment essentially for free.  So, it's worth it just to do the mission and get the equipment for cheap.

So, does this mean that the NA server can finally get the Valkyria Chronicles Edelweiss and Nameless?  It's pretty hypocritical to allow tanks from one bullcrap fantasy game but not another.

Real money for cosmetics and premiums that are quickly power creeped into oblivion, instead of buying these tanks I went and bought another Alienware laptop for my collection instead. I want tank rewards back!!!

These tanks have the exact same parameters as a regular KV-2 or BDR.  They are not made up models with made up armor and guns like the Edelweiss and Nameless are.  Selling a "fantasy" skin is different than selling a fantasy tank.  And as long as I can turn the skins off I don't care how many WG sells.  The more they sell the longer the servers stay online and I can get more enjoyment from the game for a long time to come.

Well, at least you admit, they are all bullcrap. But the Valkyria game is beautiful!

I don't see the difference.  Either way it's compromising the historical nature of the game for a quick buck.

Why are u worried about "fantasy" tanks when lots of tech tree tanks and premium "regular" tanks are just fantasy crap?

Ever took a look at german tech tree? Or Czech tree? Or even the newest, italian tree?

Heck, consider this, regular BDR 1 is a fantasy tank.

If tank was not at least a functional prototype, it is fantasy crap and worth the same as Valkirie Chronicles tanks

In order to keep this game alive you need to interest new players to take it up. I think this is a great promotion and I might resurrect my old favorite tier 5 hvy just for this occasion. I started this game free to play, and the BDR was one my early small but vital credit earners. It is a goofy looking thing that was unpopular with the masses, but it found a welcome home in my garage. Kudos to WG for making the effort to appeal to the new crowd venturing into this world of tanks.

Edit: I bought and played the line thinking I'd earn the Mordian paint job. Silly me. They are just selling the paint job and making the 5 tier grind really easy. I do appreciate the free consumables and 3 free equipment, but I'd have skipped those for the paint because that's what I wanted in my garage. Sorry WG, no sale. I also feel you used a bait and switch to lure me into doing this. Shame on me for not reading the fine print, shame on you for leading me on. The credits I spent will be replaced soon enough. The time I wasted and the disappointment it caused will last a lot longer.

IMHO this a bad move on several levels. Associating with GW will be divisive, as will introducing Sci-fi skins. Please don't water down your brand to cartoon tanks. This will, I think, alienate (pun intended) your core player base.
