What the hell is this crap???!?!?

What next, neon color skins for 100 bucks like Armored Warfare when they were bleeding money and were doing anything they could?

Why so insanely [edited]expensive?  It's no different whatsoever than the standard vehicle... for twice the price of every other tier 6 I would expect to to offer *something* a little different.

Probably contract agreement with Games workshop they tend be  bit money  hungry when licensing.

****Not saying its a good value- ONLY pointing out its not outrageous compared to how they typically price****

  • Comes with 6 zero skill bia crew - (Anyone figure out what $ per member these come to on average?)
  • Has unique skin that is partially creative property of another company (Part of the money isn't WGs)

So a plain-jane no crew at all tier 6 runs $19.  If each zsbia has a 'value' (completely guesstimated) of like a buck 50, then you're already at $28.  Then you consider the cosmetic.  Black widow exterior costs 750 gold in game, which is roughly $4.25 bringing the total to $32.25.  Tack on a few dollars for GW rights and viola you have your $34 disco viking tank.....

WG please generically come down on costs for visual stuff.  I strongly think you'd sell more cosmetics in the long run if they had a better value.  However, this tank roughly fits within their typical pricing scheme.

I would much prefer Wargaming to sell cosmetic sets and customization items that do NOT grant a game-play advantage over selling yet more OP premium tanks. This is a good move in my book, and I hope the trend continues; anything that hints at curbing the non-stop power creep is fine by me.

Seeing as any player can just disable seeing the skins in their settings, everyone wins. Can't wait to see what crazy collaborations Wargaming has in mind next.

Yes. This. Very much this.

If this is WG's way of exploring alternative means to make money off this game, we should all of us support it. You can turn off silly cosmetic skins if you don't want to see them. You cannot turn off pay to win premiums that are straight up better than their tech tree counterparts.

Good job, WG, this is the way to go, for sure. Please give us more of this and fewer tanks like the Defender, Skorpion, Patriot, and Liberte. The pricing on cosmetic skins may need some adjustment, but it is DEFINITELY a better way to monetize the game than the ones they've historically used.

Definitely stick to stuff like Warhammer 40k and steer clear of the Anime silliness.

I just don't want to see even more power creep tier 8 prems added

So you won't care if Edelweiss is added?  It's a well-balanced Tier 7 tank.

Hopefully not.  One of them is OP for its tier and well beyond the fantasy of a paper napkin drawing tank.

So, your definition of "fantasy tank" is a slightly redesigned Tiger II, and that's not allowed in-game.  But you're okay with doodles that a so-called "graduate student" made in the margins of his notebook in Poland.  Or most of the Chinese tree.  Or the Italian line past Tier 4.  Double standards much?

WG please generically come down on costs for visual stuff.  I strongly think you'd sell more cosmetics in the long run if they had a better value.  However, this tank roughly fits within their typical pricing scheme.

The KV-2 R has a value of 4,200 gold.

The garage slot has a value of 300 gold(not on sale).

The tank and garage slot are worth 4,500 gold.

25,000 gold is $99.99 USD.  That comes out to $0.0040 per unit of gold.

4,500 * $0.0040 = $18.00.

The bundle with the KV-2 ® and crew is $33.99.

You are paying $15.99 for 6 crew members and a custom skin.

In other previous bundles that included crew members with the zero skill Brothers in Arms perk, Wargaming didn't include their value as being higher than a crew member with zero skills and 100% trained.  So if we count each of the 6 crew members as being worth 200 gold. that's 200 * 6 = 1,200 gold.  1200 * $0.0040 = $4.80

So if we take the $18 for the tank and garage slot and the $4.80 for the crew...

$18.00 + 4.80 = $22.80

Bundle price = $33.99

Tank, garage slot and crew = $22.80

Cost of skin = $33.99 - $22.80 = $11.19

$11.19 for the skin.

You also get the mission, "Train Your Crews with the KV-2 ®" until July 1st which also might be considered having a value to some people.

Hi, I've just recently begun playing WoT and this is my first post, I'd like to say how much I love this game already even though I'm incredibly mediocre at it.

I'd like to say I'm very happy with this as there's the ability to turn off the skin and it's a real tank design so it's not really fantasy as much as very eccentric decoration.

I've purchased the tank as I'm very much okay with light fantasy skins but I would caution against adding some of the more "offensive" tanks from Blitz to WoT.
