1: I play the KV-2 a lot.
2: It is a great tank for strongholds.
3: Making more money and training crews faster.
4: I've taken crew members off my KV-2 for other tanks. This makes it easier to train them.
5: BIA crew which is kinda rare.
6: I have a lot of Russian heavies. The KV-2 has locked crews.
7: It looks really really nice.
Yeah the costs are higher but the KV-2 is a must have tank for EVERY garage. A credit earner, crew trainer, and BIA crew make it the best noob friendly tank.

In SHs I see this as a damage piñata.
Slow, long reload, poor VR, no concealment, large flat armour surfaces with a very squishy and volatile turret.
To each their own I suppose, but I would prefer a Type 64, T-34 85M or Crommie B for SHing.

Why do you care how other people spend their money? I think this new KV-2 is a waste of money too, but if other people want to fund the game...let them. It'll keep the servers running longer.

It really depends on the team and the tactics. I've played my KV-2 as more of an ambusher and chai sniper. Against highly mobile speed demon teams wolf packing you are screwed almost every time.
That being said you really need a lot of luck too 1: picking the right place to ambush getting that free first shot. 2: snapping off the shot fast and accurately. 3: Getting a high damage roll.

Because the God Emperor commands it you filthy heretic!
And the Mordian BDR G1 skin, although they still didnt add side sponsons.
-On a side note: I really want a skin that makes the stock kv2 turret look like and icecream truck. Anyone seen one of those?

How come the high price?
Some manager has realized he hasn't earned his "Dacha" like all the others before him. ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dacha ).
Or.
The rent got raised on the Cyprus HQ.
Or.
Victor needs a new pair of shoes.
Or...ad nauseum.

Whenever I see a KV-2 I try to get where I can shoot the turret sides.
Shoot the star, get a free ammo rack!

The zero skill bia russian crew is a pretty tempting add-on with the upcoming addition of another Russian heavy tank next patch that will almost certainly be meta. Thats probably worth a solid 8 bucks to me. Other than that you have to figure a bit of a price bump due to partnering with another company and the unique skin. Take away those two elements and yeah you're probably down to a $15 tank.

It is probably so much because it would have taken some time to make the skin plus they had to pay Games Workshop for the license to make 40k tanks (whether or not they had to pay additional for this KV-2 is debatable since they released 40k tanks on SEA and console, I believe) and Games Workshop is incredibly incredibly greedy.
