Frontline was neat for a short while, mainly because it was something new, but the game mode has rapidly turned into garbage, and I think it's pretty likely it will be abandoned, just like all the other novelty game modes, once players finish getting the mission rewards.  The mode was always going to have problems, since by it's nature it's a mode that's more chaotic with even less strategy and teamwork than random battles, but what's really killed it is the idiotic decision to include artillery and airstrike related combat reserves in the mode.  These didn't hurt the mode too much in the beginning because a lot of players didn't know how to equip them, and the players who did didn't have them upgraded that much.  However, the use of high damage combat reserves in Frontline is now off the charts.  It's now possible to play multiple Frontline battles in a row where you take more damage from non-line-of-sight combat reserves than you do from actual tank fire.  That's terrible game design, no matter how you look at it.  Hopefully War Gaming retools the mode after the current iteration of it ends.  There's zero reason why every tank should have the ability to make an arty-like attack every few minutes.  It defeats the entire purpose of putting limits on the number of arty on the battlefield when the arty-like combat reserves are being fired on almost continuously.

I can't go back to randoms after Frontline. I will just drink your tears while I play.

I don't understand - no one is forcing you to play, so just stop if you don't like it.

However, do you mind if I continue to play, and continue to enjoy it?

x.

I just can’t give up the avg 300k credits per match (net), can’t do it. Call me simple and stupid and a glutton for punishment, not gonna do it. Although, I’m enjoying the mode, sorry for your loss.

I love frontline but it launched at a bad time. The map was in full swing and Italian missions/tanks released. They should extend it so we can participate in all these events.

Heres a concept...play something too much and "it becomes a novelty that gets old"

I played Frontline and reached rank 120 then switched back to doing normal grinds and will eventually get back into it. I have all the tier 8s in the game finished and will just play to train crews and earn credits.

I don't care for it, but the credits you can earn is off the chart. So can I continue to play it a couple games a night?

Dude you don't decide for everyone, ppl can look from different sides, we don't have to like every single aspect of the new game mode. It seems you are whining only about the Arty component of the mode and I think most of us are tired about that kinda whining.

As other said, if you don't like just don't play the mode.

I think I have to buy back the Tier 8 French arty and outfit it with Air Strike and Arty Strike consumables, just for the LOLs.

I like FL way better than the tiny postage stamp sized maps you see in random battles.  Thirty tanks fighting in a one square kilometer (at best) map is ridiculous, really.

Finally, view range and scouting matters.  No more hitting the battle button in your fully tricked out scout tank only to wind up two tiers down on Himmelsdorf.  Flanking is viable.

Sure, the mode needs some work and more maps but FL is much closer to how tanks would be used IRL than many of the random maps.  I do wonder if conventional artillery should be removed; it seems that in most FL matches the extra tanks might be of more value than the arty.

My two cents worth...

I love how most of the muppet player base cries and complains about arty being in the game..Yet in frontline mode just about everyone is using the artillery strikes over and over..Bunch of whining hypocrites..
