I don't think it is fair to be spotted by a recon flight when I have a tiny ELC EVEN 90 in a bush with the camo net and 6 skill crew with camo paint and concealment, BIA, vents, etc.

Did you remember to outfit your commander with his tinfoil hat accessory. It is more likely they were reading his mind. Don't ever forget the tinfoil; it basic common sense.

6 skill crew is irrelevant.

That's the whole point of recon to spot things you can't or usually wouldn't.

And a tank that can sit unspotted in a bush until someone gets within proxy spot range is "fair"??

I think recon flights are a great anti camping mechanic.

The map is so big that it's a lot easier to snipe from outside spotting range, forcing a more passive play. The recon flight kind of counters that (not all that much because of the timeout)

True dat... there are only 2 skills directly related to camo value, BIA and Concealment. So a 2 skills crew could be used to help obtain max camo value.

I disagree, but am interested in hearing why you think it's unfair.

The whole point of a recon flight is to be able to spot things that cannot be spotted by the troops/tanks on the ground, so why doesn't it make sense to you that a recon flight can spot things that can't normally be spotted?

you said: "I think recon flights are a great anti camping mechanic."

the opposite is true. now you can camp at the back, send a recon over the cap, expose the enemy, and kill him from 500m. recon promotes camping.

was watching my son play earlier today..  He was in the VI swedish td, 2perk crew with some stealth, camo'd up, camo net, etc etc..  not moving..   and he got the sixth sense warning that a KV1 spotted him.   Looking around, neither him, nor I saw the KV1.  Spotting is weird !

Ok, now this sounds more like the truth. Your issue is not that they're "unfair", it's simply that you dislike them because they interfere with your preferred tactics.

There is also a bug where the game doesn't render the enemy tanks. The KV might have been proxy spotting and you wouldn't know it until you went and saw the replay.

All the frontline consumables are a little op, at least you only need to hide for 30 seconds and you can see the plane go over.

How do you know it was a KV1 if he didn't get spotted himself?

I think this "bug" has more to do with the game being played on lesser machines than anything with the actual game itself. This was a major issue right after 1.0 was released but the problem was limited to players who were using HDD's rather than SSD's. The slower disk drives just couldn't get everything loaded fast enough.

OOOK.  So I watched the replay and it's kinda obvious the Rhm had bino's and he lit you.  The bush you were in doesn't even cover your whole tank, you're sticking out of it in different directions.  And the enemy is right there...really close. It's not much of a stfretch for you to get lit pretty easily there.

attention tin foil mad hatters .........

the recon airplane reserve in front line is GOD ... if you are hiding in that path you will be spotted it sees EVERYTHING  there is no counter in game that is why it has a cooldown feature because it is omnipotent

since you cannot see what spotted you watch your game replay closely and look in the sky if you see a plane fly over your head then that was the recon plane that spotted you

if this is a front line concern then the person that posted the KV1 reference needs to be ignored because its not a tier 8 and cant be a frontline battle concern
