I hope they put the adjusted tanks on Test Server so we can try them out before having to decide whether to trade or keep.

Or rentals...

We bought these tanks because of preferential MM.  If Wargaming wants to change their system then either accept the new change or they should give players a full refund or exchange for any other premium tanks.  It shouldn't cost players a dime.  Wargaming just milking the player base.

So you would rather keep the pref mm is6 which has been power creeped to hell and back and suffers badly even when facing same tier instead of it getting buffed into something that can compete at tier 10? Pref mm was great back in the day but nowadays most of them can barely perform at tier so the pref mm is useless. There are a few outliers like the warcrimes panther and e25 but those were purposely buffed to be powerful at tier.

Something like the Valentine is going to be really a tough nut to crack. You can't face T6 with a 2 pounder gun now can you?

I tot forgot about the Val2 and the PzB2...

I cannot imagine em in tier 6, nor as tier 3 tanks!

Probably no armour buffs as its already pretty stout hulldown if you are mindful of the cheeks. Pen and mobility though are a given with hopefully more gun handling buffs on top of the recent spat. It's almost a good tank as it stands now.

You didn't read my post. Either accept the changes, no pref MM and a buffed tank (such as they are currently proposing for the KV-5).  Or get a full refund or trade .  THIS CHANGE SHOULD NOT COST THE PLAYERS A DIME.

It wont. You can keep the modified tank at no cost to you. If you want something different, then you're going to have to pay the gold difference. (Likely wont be able to trade-down to a cheaper tank for free, nor can you straight-trade, since the KV-5 was much cheaper than any other tier 8 tank)

So you think you deserve gold compensation because they're going to BUFF your tanks??? This makes sense to you somehow???

Ya. They will lose pref mm.

Point of contention here.  I don't doubt that you bought these because of preferential match making, nor do I doubt that others may have bought them because of preferential match making, but speaking just for myself... I bought them looked like they would be fun to play.

Agreed.

This I have mixed feelings on.  Technically the tanks cost nothing, so WG isn't really out anything if they allow us to swap out the 7500 gold KV-5 for something that normally runs around 13,000 gold as its all funny money at that point. If they offered a full gold refund then also having the option to trade in for a slight upcharge isn't unreasonable, but since you're tied into keeping the new version of the tank or having to choose a different tank (with a forced upcharge) doesn't seem particularly reasonable.

One should surmise that the word Never has little meaning with wots, but the base sure remembers and will react accordingly......

What if you already have the other premiums  ? You should be able to get a full gold refund, if not cash.

Tank stats seem a pretty fluid set of numbers on digital property to which we are given access--not owned.
Adjusting their non-standard MM setting feels more substantial to be sure.
Seems an option to sell off the tank for a small refund in gold would be smart. Perhaps adjusted down, the longer you've owned it.

With the KV5 they are basically taking a $35 tank and turning it into a $50 tank. That's not enough compensation for you??

The obvious problem with this theory is the number of people who "remember" things that were never actually said...

The cash value of a tank has no relevance after it is purchased as it has no resale value.

I have over 11 preferred MM tanks in my garage.  Many of them I purchased for the sole purpose of it's preferred MM.  While  am going to wait and see what the final product turns out to be before I twist my panties into a bunch, if I am not satisfied with the result, WG should offer a reimbursement.....even if it is a partial reimbursement because I did play them and obtained some enjoyment in their current state.
