Why are you complaining that there is a new premium in the game?  Besides, it's already in the game; it's basically a T-54.

The only thing the laughable type 59 has in common with the t-54 is that it looks like a t-54.

Performance wise its not even in the same universe. It's basically a very slow t-44.

You would do way better to just unlock the jumbo sherman as it has zero issues mopping the floor with the type 59.

The Type 59 will not be a gameplay problem, and at least it will mean that instead of 6 Lowes per match we get 3 Lowes and 3 Type 59's.  It's a perfectly fine tier 8 tank if you drive it well but it's not some kind of monster.

I admit that the time period of this tank vs. some of its direct same-tier opponents (cough, Panther II, cough) rubs me the wrong way, but, eh, what are you going to do?

The Type 59 is an inferior T-54 clone and has, effectively, a 100mm D10T. It's hardly overpowered.

Actually, again, the Type 59 was a clone of the T-54A, NOT the T-54.  It'd be like saying that a tank based off the post war M-51 Super Sherman should perform similar to a M4.  The Type 59 is only a Monkey Model in the sense that the IR system was removed and the older D-10T was used as opposed to the later D-10TG, both of which are still quite capable of going through Chobham on a good shot.

Roughly guessing, based on the stats, this is actually the Type 59i (with the thinner turret armor, as opposed to the original Russian imports, which were identical in nearly all respects to the T-54A), but with the earlier gun and engine.  (Maybe it's supposed to be a tank half way through the transition between them???)  Basically they're mix and matching Type 59 variants to try and make the stats they want.

The sad thing is it also only looks like the actual tank.  I know that Premium tanks are supposed to be hosed compared to their Teir, but this is a tank that's hosed compared to their teir that's based off a tank that's a teir above it, and outperforms that tank IRL in every possible way, and is still used by major powers as an MBT today...

After they buffed it in the test server I thought it was OP. Like slightly faster than the Pershing, twice the armor, and a gun that is pretty close.

This game isn't just WW2. It's 1930s-1950s time frame.
With the Leichttraktor, probably might be a window starting as early as 1926. So as you show, a fairly large span in years.

Don't forget the FT-17/MS-1. And now they want to add in Little Willie.

The only thing that annoys me about this new premy is this,a few matches I have been in with Lowes on my team that simply could not play the game. When you go and look the Lowe player up(I do not do this often, but the times I did it was because I could have sworn that some idiot was letting his three year old kid play in his Lowe, that's how bad it was)and lo and behold the only tank they have is the Lowe and they have been in two or three matches.I really think the devs should put restrictions on these HT premys, like having an earned tier 8 in your garage already.Allowing players to buy their way into high tier matches is just plain dumb, and the team that it happens to will always suffer. You got to crawl before you can walk, and walk before you can run, except if you are fucking rich kid/person who wants to play with the big boys in WOT!

You should not be able to buy a Tier 8 premium until you have researched a Tier 8 non-premium tank. +1 for you.

I'm not rich and I don't have all day to sit around playing this game. So I think it's great that I can step in and play versus the big boys.

Yes, and we big boys love it when you come into high tier matches and can't pull the weight your expected to carry. If you want a credit earner, get something easier to handle than a Lowe.

Dude,I work six days a week so I do not have all day to sit around playing the game. And the point I was making is that this is a tough game and the higher the tier the better the players.Tier 8 premium tanks destroy the learning curve.I mean how could you even have fun playing against guys with 10x the experience, you are just going to get slaughtered. Now don't take this the wrong way,I am not trying to call you out or anything, but besides your Lowe the next highest tier you've reached is 5 and your stats in the Lowe reflect that. One day I will see you on the field and I will show you why it's a mistake to buy you're way into HT matches.

Again theres nothing stating this game is World War 2 tanks only, its World Of Tanks, meaning all tanks and they focus tanks from WWII to the cold war

Yup. They overbuffed it. And since we're live with it now...

At E3 the devs said the game would have a total of 400 tanks and would end with ones produced in the mid 1960's.

As a Pershing driver I'm not really afraid of Type 59's, even one on one. They have superior speed and better turret armour but with the accuracy of the long 90mm it's easy to put hits onto the hull and take 20% health off of them each hit.

I've also had quite a few Type 59's bounce their shots off of me. Maybe it's because the drivers are relatively new and are still using the auto-aim to shoot at an American tank's mantlet.

I love how you think just because someone has a tier 8 they are more capable of driving a Lowe.  I have seen tier 9 and 10 drivers equally as bad as newbie Lowe drivers.  In fact at least half of them are.  These are the 9-10 teams you get on in Himmelsdorf for instance and see 12 of your teammates go to the railroad tracks.

I have to admit this is very often true,as a matter of fact I suck in my Lowe and I have played a shit load of matches. Also to contradict my previous post, last night I played with a guy from China who only has a Type 59 and has played in very few matches. He was unbelievably good,he racked up 7 kills and capped for the win for our team,me in my Type 59 got killed for looking at a JT.So I guess experience can be a bit overrated.
