Hey, everyone!

Hope that you’re having a great Friday!

Have you heard of the Aquino Tank Weekend? If not, I really recommend reading over the page I linked. It’s Canada’s largest military show where you are able to get up close check out some tanks (and other military vehicles). They even have tank rides!

Aquino Tank Weekends runs from June 9th to June 10th in Oshawa, Ontario.

Sounds like something you might be interested in? Then, I have some great news! We are going to give away 4 Tank Weekend Passes for Aquino. We will be awarding these in pairs, so there will be 2 winners who win 2 tickets each.

Starting today, and running until June 4th, you need to reply to this thread telling us which 5 tanks you would put on display if you built your own tank museum. This will be your entry into the contest.

Once the contest ends on June 4th, we will randomly pick the winners from the entries submitted and send you a message on the forums with more details/your prize. We will also announce the winners in this thread.

If you win, please be aware that you will be responsible for travel and accommodations as Wargaming is only providing a ticket. And make sure to print out your ticket before you go!

This contest is only available to residents of US and Canada.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by, and best of luck!

PS: Be sure to check out some Aquino photos below

If I was building my own tank museum, I would display:

FT-17

Panzer II

M4

T-54

Chieftain

P.S. I went to the Aquino Tank Weekend in 2017 and it was pretty cool!

  1. Cromwell to represent one of the sexiest
  2. Churchill GC to represent one of the ugliest
  3. Locust to represent one of the smallest
  4. Maus to represent one of the biggest
  5. Tiger since it's a favorite and will draw the crowds

Thanks for the link.  I have Canadian family and have never heard of Aquino Tank Weekend before.  My museum would be for me and I'd like:

1) The Rudy - If possible the actual one used on set, if not a replica.

2) The Fury - If possible the actual one used on set, if not a replica.

3) A Tiger - I'm not expert enough to know which one.

4) A Maus - To be in awe of the massiveness.

5) Hetzer - A working one, that I could tool around in an shoot old cars. A Hetz a day keeps the doctor away...

If I was wealthy and could have what I wanted made and in working order, I would set up a working display of the 4 tanks in a simulated combat scenario but we'd always finish with the Maus driving in and firing its massive cannon to conclude the show.  I think that'd be pretty cool.

It's way too far for me to go (I live in Alberta) so don't let me win (Give it to someone closer who can enjoy it).

But, if i were to display 5 tanks, there's no question in my mind which they would be.

1) Panzer II ausf D.

2) Panzer III ausf F.

3) Matilda II

4) Char B Bis.

5) BT-7

If I had a hypothetical tank museum I would have these 5 tanks

1. M60 painted up like it was in active service in Vietnam

2. Leopard 1 painted in the classic Woodland Leopard colors.

3. Chieftain (Hopefully this tank would actually be in running condition but with the leyland engine probably not)

4. Ripper Patton but painted up as the more Historical Tiger paint as the one in world of tanks is one of the ugliest rippers

5. Sherman Jumbo Painted up as the Cobra King with the First in Bastogne Chalking on the Side

Also Gnomon is there any possibility of a Oddball Sherman ever coming to World of Tanks? I would personal be floored as it is Quiet a unique Sherman.

Hey Oddball!

Some of my clan will be there for the weekend. We have members coming from the northern US states and several from Canada.

You'll be happy to know that they have an M60 and a Leopard 1. In fact you can ride in them!  They also have an "Easy8" (M4A3E8) and a T55A available for rides.

Others in the collection that run: M3 Stuart, M24 Chaffee, another easy 8, M8 Greyhound, M551 Sheridan, BMP1, M113, Scimitar, Scorpion, Striker, Saladin, Jeep , Universal Carrier, M988 prime mover, Deuce and a halves, "Pinkie Rover", NM577, Lynx, and a few more that I can't remember.

They have some vehicles being restored that I know of, Centurion Mk V, Hetzer, Flak 88 and lots on display.

You can view my pics from a previous visit here : https://mcwphotograp...lf-War-Display/

https://mcwphotograp.../RCAC-Tank-Day/

Meathead will be there with swag and there's all kinds of displays and stuff. See you there!

VK 16.02 Leopard, because it is one of my favorites in game (even though I don't think it was ever actually made)

Crusader, again cause its one I really like in game

M41 Bulldog, one of my favorite real life tanks

M42 Duster, still a "tank" technically I hope. It's more of an SPG but this game calls arty SPGs "tanks" so I think this counts. lol

SU-122-54, one of my favorite tanks in game.... Too soon....

I didn't make it to the last one even though it's pretty much in my own backyard. I'll definitely be going this year, I'll be damned if I miss it again. Do you know if the Hetzer will be there this time?

As for my tank museum....: 1) Sherman "Jumbo"

                                            2) KV-2

                                            3) Can I say any Centurion variant? If not I'll go with Centurion 7/1

                                            4) Matilda

                                            5) Hellcat

My 5 would be

  • Tiger 1 because it's an overengineered miracle
  • Object 279 because weird russian designs are the best
  • Chrysler TV8 because who doesn't love a mobile nuclear meltdown
  • Ferdinand to represent failed tanks
  • 121 since the prototypes were destroyed during chinese nuclear testing and I want to see one

Anyway these tanks all have their quirks and would be great to have in any museum
