For me it will be these. Always fascinated by their look etc since I hung around model shops decades ago looking at those Tamiya kits.

  1. Sturmpanzer 43 Brummbär
  2. Sturmtiger
  3. Elefant (Ferdinand)
  4. Nashorn
  5. Flakpanzer IV "Wirbelwind"      They started restoring 1 last year at CFB Borden and it should be at the show this year, not sure whether it is finished or not.

I was there last year and this was my thread from the WoT Console side:

Aquino airport in Italy is where the British claimed to have knocked out a Bossatto Semovente 105/25. They should ditch this Canadian porn and have the event for there. BTW, I think the British are lying and just pelted an abandoned tank. They're always kill counting abandoned junk.

Hey Folks,

You might want to double up your entries on our World of Tanks subreddit giveaway, where we have two Premium Passes with Leopard rides up for grabs.  Entering both is fine!

Cheers,

CM

MeatheadMilitia will be there along with at least one member of our Social Media team, we'll be giving out a few more event prizes and some other goodies at the event.

Would be cool to see a Maus without having to go to Russia, even if its not real just to see the scale.

Maybe a T28/95 as well, another beast tank.

T92 HMC SPG, just to see the barrel on that thing.

Possible an E25 because its such a cute little tank, how could anyone fit in it.

And lastly either a Jagdtiger or Ferdinand/Elefant, I couldnt choose between them they both have a lot of history behind them.

First off, I went last year to Aquino and it was simply amazing.  I cannot believe the cost / value, it was worth way more than the admission price.  What a show they put on in the Tank Arena but I think that was primarily due to a private collector showing up with what seemed like a Company worth of tanks to add to the mix.  So not sure that's going to happen again but I think it's well worth it regardless.  I was able to meet / shake hands with both Meathead and Chieftain, that alone was worth, well, more than being alone.

Sherman

T-34

Tiger

Matilda

Char B1 bis

These imo would be the basis for any well rounded Historical Museum.   Any variation of each design would be more than acceptable.

I went last year, it was terrific.  As they were packing up I was able to get into the Patton on display and check out the innards.  Amazing stuff!

Top 5 tanks:

1. King Tiger

2. Patton

3. Sherman

4. T-28

5. Mark 1

Good luck all!  Weather is looking good for the weekend!

Don’t put me in the contest, as I can’t make it, but I felt like making a list so here goes.

1. The Thunderbolt, complete with field modifications and pictures of its crew.

2. The M3 Lee, just so people can see how unusual/bad of a design it was.

3. A fully equipped M60. They’re just so cool.

4 & 5. A Tiger right next to a T-34, to get a comparison of what the Soviets has to fight the buggers with.

There would be no use having a museum with five tanks you could easily see elsewhere.  They would need to make a huge visual statement and be rare/non-existent.  A collection you could ask someone at the Bovington Tank Museum if they've had a chance of seeing.  Not sure The_Chieftan would agree these are all 'tanks', but in the spirit of having a somewhat mobile gun to shoot at the enemy, this would be my list:

  • 800mm Schwerer Gustav railway gun.
  • Landkreuzer P. 1000 Ratte.
  • Antonov A-40 flying scout tank.
  • Object 279 'Doom Oyster' nuclear shockwave resistant.
  • Tsar Tank, reminds me of a Big Wheel.

Sitting in the stands could get interesting.   Last year, it was pretty hot so maybe a little extra ventilation wouldn't be such a bad idea however.

As a side note: I heard Smoke's Poutinerie in Oshawa makes a mean poutine with bacon.

Pretty sure pants are optional in Canada.
