Took this heap of disappointment for a couple of spins and no wonder why none of the big community people on youtube have done proper reviews of it except for maybe Dez, while it has one of the very best sniping medium guns in the game the lack of mobility ruins the tank almost outright. I don't mind the armor because armor is meaningless at high tiers until it is 268 v4 levels broken or when facing feeble weenie tier 8s but that engine ruins the tank. Without mobility positioning this heap is going to be a real Edited in the current fast paced meta where every second counts.

Well in CT2 WG has upgraded the engine from a feeble 500 HP block to a nicer more masculine 860 HP rumble beast along with a couple of other nice improvements so hope that it sticks.

How the hell does a tank with a rear mounted turret get -9 gun depression while a tank like the 121 only gets -5?

Because Russian Bias and it only gets that gud gun dep off the sides, still annoyed how the vast majority Chinese tanks in general are inferior to Russians despite being nearly the same designs.

The k-91 needs a buff in camo values if they want it to be a descendant of the obj 416. With no armor and a sniping role it is currently way too easy to spot considering the limited sniping possibilities the maps have. Obj 416 is almost as camoed as a UDES 03 and that is pretty much the only thing keeping its clumsy [edited]alive... IMO

I find the K-91 to be a very lovely tank, indeed it is intended for sniping, but it has the flexibility of a medium, with the occasional bounce with the turret mantle. It is not intended for new players or for close up brawls, i was shock to find out last night that it is smaller than the STRV 103-b but with less camo value; which is a good balancing factor. If it had the same camo value it would be over powered like crazy.

That being said, upclose the tank suffers greatly for HE fire ontop of the hull so it is a must to keep your distance and to keep firing to maximize that DPM.

That's partially due to breech size and turret shape, but yeah...whiskey tango foxtrot on that?^^^

What's the current scoop on the K-91? It's "On track", is it worth the grind? I have the Obj. 430 II but I don't play it much. I favor the Obj. 416 when I want to rear turret/snipe, I find it a fun tank. Will I like the K-91?

I'm on the A-44 and thinking of forgetting this whole line, I just can't figure out how to make it work. The gun depression almost completely limits you to sniping on most maps but the gun sucks for that, I can't hit anything with it, Stalin never guides this one. City maps and with decent frontal armour are better except you're facing heavies most of the time. It's really good at ramming but when I get close to anything all I can hit is their turret due to the lack of gun depression so if I don't outright kill them I'm often stuck bouncing off their strongest armour.

I'm going to unlock/purchase it to complete my RU tier 10 MT collection, but I bet I only play it once per month after that...

I had issues with the A-44 as well.  If you mount the 107, you can run with the HTs and provide some support.  It can sidescrape pretty well too.  I just wasn't patient enough to make it work in that configuration.  Since getting the T-34-3 though and having to run it as mentioned, I believe I could re-obtain that tank and improve my WR in it.  If you utilize the smaller pew pew gun, you can play it like a 3rd line TD early game, using bushes and such.  Mid to late game when the LTs are all dead (hopefully) you should be able to flex and pick off low health targets from 2nd line.  To me though, it is harder to hit things.  Then again, that was during the time when my video card was going bad, so, it may be better now that I've upgraded it.

The Obj 416 is completely worth it though.  Drive it like an over-sized AMX ELC with better gun handling.  I am currently at the Obj 430 II, however I do not have it fully upgraded yet; so I'm reserving judgement for now.  The stock gun seems to miss a lot for having .38 dispersion.
