We will be paying close attention to see if the gun is over-performing during this round of testing.

The Object 726 has great frontal protection; despite all its quirks and exotic appearance it should still play as a classic Soviet frontline heavy. The 726 can handle such tasks as breaking through the enemy defensive lines, holding ground, and dealing with heavily armored adversaries.

The primary drawbacks of the vehicle are very limited mobility to account for its other characteristics, as well as a limited gun depression angle of -5 degrees.

As this is the first stage of testing, the Object 726 stats may change in the future. We may even re-think its combat role.

Will you though? We've been seeing more than our fair share of impenetrable juggernauts lately. As much as everyone loves the idea of doing dramatic things like single-handedly leading charges and holding back the tide, the reality is that these aren't tasks that any one tank reasonably should be able to do. If it can, then its probably game-breaking. Take a lesson from the 268v4 debacle and see that idiot-proof armor causes far more problems than solutions. When guns work, the game works. When armor works, everything screeches to a dysfunctional halt.

And for that matter, where is the final drive and transmission supposed to be on this tank?  The place that traditionally takes up is filled with tracks.

AFAIK, if they go off the historical placement (much like the other competing 729 that was built and way more armored), it's in the rear, with the transmission situated behind the engine, and the shaft going down between the two tracks on either side.

So another soviet tier 10 for the second set of personal missions that's supposed to come this year? Don't we have enough tier 10 soviet tanks already?

Bah, what am I talking about this is wargaming. At this point the only nation that exists in the game are the soviets.

Spoiler

What, you think other nations make tanks?  You make me laugh.  Tank was invented by Russia.  Only Russia make tanks.

Instead of putting out new OP tanks, then buffing older tanks so they can quasi compete. Why not make the new tanks "balanced" to begin with?  A lot less work in the end.

Just like the 268 v4, this tank's abundance of frontal weakspots undermines its otherwise strong armor.

and after that they can try fleshing out some of the other nations with only a couple tank lines... Or devote the resources instead to making more nations. I'd like to see more competitive variety at tier 10
