In the poll, my quick version of Frontline Lite needs feedback and adjustments. The question is if you'd be interested in some version of Frontline Lite that we could play more often keeping the larger Frontline for specials.

 

I was thinking that Frontline would also be good if it was just on one long zone instead of the 3 long zones. Frontline Lite. 15 versus 15. Max two arty. No Combat Reserves because this will be only a weekend game. Also different Tiers would be used each weekend. Everything else is the same as the Frontline we just played. Well, except the initial attacker spawn point needs to be in a safe spot. And if there is a starting Zone C it needs to be reworked so the attackers have more of a chance of getting started. This will run every weekend.

 

Save the regular Frontline with the three zones for grand battles of 30 versus 30. Perhaps once a month for a week (like first week of each month) with a different Tier each time between 6 to 10. I'm not sure if the map would be too large for Tier 5 tanks.

 

Just some suggestions. I did enjoy Frontline.

ew, max two arty per team or, max two arty per match (there is a very big difference lol maybe i'm just blind and cant english?)

Maybe; one of the strategies was the selection of zones to attack/defend. I know Zone C started to become a farmers market, I even did it during the last day of FL because I knew I could get captain easily as I wanted to make sure I got to tier 30. 

 

I would try a light version, do not know how many resources WG needs to try something out like this though. Can have different tier for each weekend.

Ok I kind of like the idea BUT in practice I think it wouldn't work if it was just like Frontline.

 

One of the key thing for the attackers is the ability to concentrate tanks in one zone.  Often a cap would only happen if the attackers outnumbered the defenders.  That can only happen if you have multiple zones.  If you have equal numbers all the time, it would make the attacker's job much harder.

Not for me, just give me the full front line. The great thing for me is the large map and the ability to move from one zone to the other. Finally a mode where the tier 8 players get to enjoy themselves and they don't run it 24 - 7.

Just some suggestions. I did enjoy Frontline.

Max 1 arty IMO.  Also if you shorten the map, make it 2x2 rather than 1x3.  Choosing re-spawn location is an important part of the mode.

My worry would be when you get a terrible team, you are stuck with it for all three zones.  At least with 3 fronts you can spawn in another front and get away from the worst players

I'd make it 10v10 1 arty per team. 1/3 the map size 1/3 the numbers

Arty needs to be up to 20% of the total number of players, just like it is in pub matches.  Otherwise -- as we saw in FL -- it forces arty players to suffer very long queue times.   People have as much right to play SPGs as any other class and it's unfair to create new game modes that restrict them. I know you don't like arty, but it's part of the game you've chosen to play.

 

Since you're going to remove the Artillery Strike consumables, you can afford two arty per side in a 10v10 match, or three in a 15v15.
