Hey, everyone!

As you probably know from my Supertest and Common Test posts, we've been working on adjusting three Soviet tanks to fit better with overall gameplay. They are:

  • Object 277
  • K-91
  • Object 268 Version 4

The Object 277 and K-91 will arrive in update 1.0.2, as those two tanks are not yet in the live game. As listed in the article and previous CT notes, 268 V4 changes are coming in 1.0.2 as well.

If you're interested in the stats, how to play these tanks, or why changes were made, please check out our portal article that goes into detail about all of the above: Fixing the Comrades

The article also goes over the mobility, firepower, armor, view range, and much more for the tanks.

Thanks for stopping by, and we hope you're excited about the upcoming 1.0.2!

See you on the battlefield :izmena:

I don't think the nerf for the Object 277 was necessary. It's stats before was balanced between the IS-7 and the WZ-111-5A. The specific power is now one of thee worst upon the tanks and it doesn't fit with it's play style, especially it being only 55 tons. Super Heavies have better power to weight ratio that this. The rate of fire was perfect between the 5A and the IS-7, comparing the tank to those two tier 10s because they're more reliable than any other heavy tank in clan wars, before the nerf. View Range was fine. Everything else was fine before this unnecessary nerf. Mobility won't get this tank any safe places before being pounded by artillery and tanks with enough pen going through the upper plate. The gun was better than the IS-7 but not the WZ-111-5A, the trade off should've been just armor. If this makes it to the live server, no one is going to respect this tank for what it should've been because it cannot compete any heavy tank at its tier. These are my thoughts on the Object 277, the line I was grinding to hopefully grab a good tank.

Post Nerf Obj 277 is now just a bad IS-7 with better pen. I guess it was a bad idea to bother grinding xp on the T-10 if all your getting is a crap IS-7, which everyone has if they already did the line.

If you already have all the free xp then you might as well get it, it still has a ton of pen on it's gun, so you won't be struggling in that department.

Thanks Wg been grinding my T-10 the last 3 weeks, just once I would like to get the OP tank Before you nerf it into the ground. You basically took away everything that made it worth having.

I stopped grinding any more new vehicles on new lines or nations.

Because every new line or vehicle gets nerved to death one or two patches later.

So some new vehicle gets introduced to the game and the cycle starts over again.

Also one the vehicles I already had in my garage for years now, someone at wargaming had the great idea to screw around on it as well. The Object 430 II was basically strip of the armor and got a sniper gun.

I wonder on what map we supposed to snipe with that???

Because most decent open space non urban maps got removed or are in rework for at least another year.

GOOD JOB WARGAMING. Keep it up. My gaming in pubs went from 10 to 15 games an evening @ 5 days to 2 to 3 matches all week....Smile_sceptic.gif

Hey wargaming, you made a small mistake on the Engine Power to Weight of the Obj 277 in your post. On the RU site for the same article it states a power to weight of 17.27, whereas on the NA site you wrote 9.43 power to weight. Just a small thing but a huge difference to some when it comes to the usability of the tank! :D

Here is the RU's Article about it: https://worldoftanks...ussr-tanks-102/

Wargaming got the weight mixed up when they translated it from Russian into English...LM4O

The stats on the info-graphic doesn't match up with whats on the current test server, which one is correct?

The stats on "Fixing the Comrades" make the 277 look like a slower, less-armored, inaccurate pile of trash in comparison to the IS-7 and 5a.

While on the test server, it's the same stats from when the it was released on the CT (possibly a minor difference here and there, but its most likely just a decimal change).

Sure, it was a large nerf since the Super Test, but what is on the current CT still looks the same?

This is what's confusing to me as well. The info-graphic also states that the premium round only has 340 pen instead of 350. They say in the post that the 277 looks to be a great successor to the T-10 based on results from the test server, but then the stats they posted make it seem that they think otherwise.

I believe the pen of 340 is correct, as they also noted it on the RU Server's Article however the power to weight is wrong. Definitely some Wargaming NA Classic translation errors here.

so does it have the power to weight of 17.27, or the 9.43 power to weight this is a massive difference to whether this is a viable tank or not for clan wars.
