ahh.. the link is hidden on that page under the word "here" ... its really annoying when web developers use CSS to make hyperlinks look like normal text, and then you can't tell there's a link on the page.

Logged on 12:45 am Central time . 52 seconds into the game froze for 2 minutes then crashed to log in screen. Just kept telling me Failed to connect do you want to leave the que? Waste of a premium time. Tried to switch to LATAM and it say I am logged in on another server. So I have been "logged into the battle now for 34 minutes......

I´m playing on cyber-coffee,... i already pay $ 2 for  2 hours and server is off. no refund for me damn.

Actually 99.999% is the best you can expect.  99% is not good enough.

Unless the issue exists in between. Becasuse you don't physically plug your computer into the sever. The internet is like a highway, your end is your home and driveway, their end is their business and driveway. ISPs own the roads in between. There's 3+ areas that network issues can exist in.

It would be nice to have more communication from WG techies re when we can expect the servers to be up.  Instead it is more of the mushroom treatment.

Google has no excuse as it runs several server farms that contain the same information and roll over should be seamless. I do have network experience.

Depends on the service. That kind of up-time is often multi-physical site, if you're into 3 digit accuracy. 

 

We're also talking a service which has server restarts nightly as well.

The reason was they had issues with their DNS service, which basically threw much of their services offline for a short time, and even screwed over other companies due to reliance on their DNS. craphappens. You should very well know this then.

This would not be so bad if they had not done what ever it was this morning that has almost an hour of time down at server restart
