Hey Tankers!

So I don't know about you guys, but I certainly didn't anticipate that the Friday Night Fight 3v3 tournament would fill up in less than two hours. I've also seen some mention of the timeframe, namely the fact that the tournament starts pretty late in the evening.

Well, I've got good news for you. We've heard your feedback, and we're introducing a duplicate tournament on Saturday afternoon! Please be advised that due to structuring, and prizing, this tournament will also be limited to 128 teams! If you're participating in the Friday Night tournament, we'd certainly appreciate it if you could give other players a chance to sign up for the Saturday Afternoon tournament.

Tournament details:

Schedule

  • Only the first 128 teams to confirm registration will be accepted.
  • Registration Start: June 13 at 18:00 PT | 20:00 CT | 21:00 ET

  • Tournament Start: June 16th at 12:00 PT | 14:00 CT | 15:00 ET
  • The full schedule is subject to change once the final team count has been determined at the close of registration.
  • WG may change dates and times as needed to complete tournament.
  •  Curious what time this is in your region? Use this handy Time Zone Converter to help you out!

  • Matches and Brackets are published once registration is closed.
  • Prizing (Gold per team):
    • 1st: 60,960
    • 2nd: 45,720
    • 3rd: 30,480
    • 4th-8th: 15,240
    • 9th-16th: 7,620
    • 17th-32nd: 2,857
  • Prizing will be credited within week of tournament finish.

Rules

3/30 Format (Min tier 27)

  • Best of 3
  • Single elimination
  • Battles will last 8 minutes max.
  • Teams are allowed to bring a maximum of 3 tanks totaling 30 tier points and a minimum of 27.

  • There will be 3 minute staging breaks between Battles

  • You are allowed to registered a 4th reserve, however if you win a prize it will be split between the 4 of you.

If you have any issues with your teams, need any roster changes, run into any foul play or rule violations you need to report: Please send me or Jambijon (preferably add us both as participants in the thread so we get as much visibility on it as possible) a PM on the forums.

Some folks have been submitting tickets and our CSR's are very confused. They don't have access to tournaments; please don't bug them with tournament inquiries because they will just tell you to contact us.

Nice to see that you are setting up another, at least registration opens later so I will be at home. Hopefully I can actually submit the team in time this time...

in my opinion, all you needed to do is just expand it from 128 teams to 256, and then, play quarter- semi- and finals at Saturday, and the rest at Friday!!!

We're trying to keep these simple because this is the first time Jambi and I are setting up a tournament through our tournament system. We will get more advanced/creative with future tournaments :) Also the Saturday Afternoon timeslot might be more convenient for some folks.

Quick question

Is it blocked for those who managed to apply to the previous tournament?

I'm afraid it'll be mostly filled by the same teams

It's not blocked, but we are politely requesting that people who have registered for Friday give others a chance to register for Saturday.  We are also opening the registration much later in the day so Tankers who didn't get a fair crack at Friday's tournament have one to register for Saturday.

Of course, we won't be able to make registration and the tournament time convenient for everyone, but we will continue to throw in different times moving forward so people with different work/life schedules have a chance to participate.

P.S: Given the demand there is a decent chance that the Tourney registration might get flooded and crap out again, it should pop up shortly after but if this continues to be an issue we will pursue a technical solution to handle the load.

Anyone in Texas sending these guys a beer or another frosty beverage?  Because they're going out of their way to do tournaments on the weekend for us.

Big Thank you.

If the next round has 256 or 512 spots I doubt there will be as many issues. Also, the first tourney in a year is gonna get the most hype.

Ugh ugh and more ugh. Can we please get a little more heads up before the registration opens? I would love to get in on these tournaments but 2 hrs and less before they fill up is brutal.

Will there be another "due to popular demand" tournament opening?

This last one was pretty messy and a lot of people, including me, were not able to sign up due to website problems.

Apologies for the issues, folks. The Operation Tempoarily unavailable error was occurring due to signups being overloaded. Too many cooks in the kitchen, I'm afraid :(

Rest assured, these tournaments are the first of many! Jambi and I have some pretty wacky ideas cooked up for future tourneys, and there will definitely be more standard format 3v3's, hopefully some larger and smaller-format tournaments as well.

If you have any issues with your teams, need any roster changes, run into any foul play or rule violations you need to report: Please send me or Jambijon (preferrably add us both as participants in the thread so we get as much visibility on it as possible) a PM on the forums.

This information has been added to my OP as well.

Hi:

I noticed that the prizing for third place and fourth place were substantially different. Given the single-elimination bracket, how will third and fourth place be assigned for the purpose of prizing?
