normally i can play at around 20-40 ms ping to WOT central, but the past couple days, with WOT and only WOT, I've been getting lots of packet loss, and lag spikes. is there a known issue? or is it likely to be something on my end?

ISP: Rogers

WiFi, over a usb dongle

tried resetting modem but did nothing

Try on wired. Wifi is not reliable.

Thats all I can suggest. Or move your PC? Wifi is just garbage for gaming. Or for any form of reliable internet.

Netgear internet over powerline.  Plug it into your router and an outlet near your router.  All the normal outlets in your house now are carrying an ethernet signal.  Plug another box into an outlet near your computer and run ethernet to it.  Less than $100 at any big box electronics store for several of them.
