Hey guys, I was just stuck with a major dilemma. I've just got myself the m3 lee and am wondering what I should do next. I've heard great things about the t29 and t32 American heavies, but am not sure about the t1 and m6 tanks with their lackluster 76 mm guns. so I am wondering if I should just skip them by cutting through the m4 Sherman and Sherman jumbo. I'd like your advice on what is best, and what their high and low points are. thanks.

M6 so you can get the 90mm and not grind the t29 with the 76mm. Or if you have the free xp it doesn't matter. Just DON'T PLAY THE T29 WITH THE 76mm.

T1 is a fun tank.  I needed a t29 in a hurry so I barely played the m6.

This ^^^

Even the 76 ---> 90 on the T20 Medium is a long tedious grind.

Fighting the T29 with the 76mm is gimping yourself, and the team.

Got the T1 Heavy and the M6 and the M6 is still 34,000 XP away from T29.  I liked the T1 Heavy, but this M6 is a dog.  I would go ahead and play the T1 Heavy as it can be fun to go back to like the KV-1, but at least free xp to the best of everything for the M6.

There isn't anything really lackluster about the T1 Heavy or the M6's armaments. The T1 H does fine with the 76mms, and the M6 has a great 90mm. Heck, those 76mm guns are the same ones you see on the Shermans as well.

But as others have said, don't play the T29 with the 76mm stock gun. This can be avoided one of two ways, either play the T1, M6 and grind proper heavy crews and get the 90mm on the M6 or spend free exp on the T29 to get the gun.

Call a suicide prevention hotline.  The Lee will make you question your desire to live.

Go thru the T1 and the M6.  They arent your normal heavies, but they are quite good once you understand them (and have top gear in them) .  Also, this provides two tiers of crew grinding for the T29 (all being heavies) .   Now, the other tanks off the Lee are also worth it..   but, this becomes an exercise in pain tolerance.  Can you grind the Lee into another tank, or not ?  Its worth if if you can.   Hint, Dont drive the Lee as a medium.  Drive it as a tall td that shoots from a very low location (the hull gun, not the higher up gun)

is the Lee really that bad? I liked the m2 medium, it plays like my m4, two low pen high fire rate and a “derp gun” with plenty of damage and terrible stats everywhere else. Lee was a low point and vulnerable to flanking, if that’s the worst I’ll have to put up with, that’s good.

The Lee isn't that bad, it just doesn't play like a medium.  Play like it a TD, and you can use buildings to cover up your gigantic non-functioning turret.

My Plan is E2 to the T20 and Backup to the T29.....       I had a Free Tier 6 Token on my EU Account and it was that or the M6....    Since I like my T.Bolt, and I liked the Sherman III and Firefly as well, figured I'd go that route.....

Finally got my T29, woohoo!:)  Have not played it yet though, I need to find out for sure how I'm going to do the hull-down thing, which I'm not that good at (or least patient enough to do correctly).:popcorn:Yes, eating popcorn waiting to see how it goes for me with this thing.;)  My M6 is retired (not sold, just retired); took 90mm gun off for the T29.

You would be better off firing spitballs.

It's true that if you go to the T20 you have to play with the 76mm gun to get the 90mm gun.  BUT with your T20 you can flank and get side shots.  You aren't going to get as many of those in a T29.

Ok dont know if it's already been said but get the T29 from the tank that will unlock it for the less exp then go back and play the other tank

Edit to add:  Most importantly, slow down and stick to tier 4 and master that tank and then master the tier 5 over hundreds or thousands of battles before you even think about moving on.

Watch videos on the T1 and M6 and then the M4 and Jumbo about how they play, how their stats work, weaknesses, etc.  Go from there and decide which fits your playstyle better or simply which ones you like more and would enjoy playing.  I had fun with most of those tanks, so I think either way would be fine once you figure out the best way to play/equip them.   I actually had more fun playing some of those tanks than I did playing the T29 and T32 and I still play a certain one of those tier 6 tanks as one of my all-time favorites.  However, yes, the T29 can definitely be a blast also... but I would take my time and really learn how to play and have fun with the tier 5 first until you master it.

T1 Heavy and M6 are two excellent tanks if you play them as Heavy/Medium hybrids instead of trying to play them as traditional heavies. The M6 90 MM top gun is one of the best guns at teir 6
