So then please elaborate how you are supposed to be safe from artillery while ALSO being effective in the game.

The stun, is in place to alleviate the vocal minorities snivels about a part of the game, and then create something  balance and keep one of their 5 essential vehicles valuable to teammates. as long range indirect fire support.

Stun is in the "Right Direction"..... Holy ship NOOOOOOO!!!

 

Stun was simply added as a big FU by Wargaming to us, because we wanted lower damage Arty shots they tried to figure out another way to still piss us off!

Stun is almost as worse as the high damage shots.  I mean, you become completely incapacitated for HELL of a LONG TIME.  And it usually occurs right when you are in a fight, so it's the most utterly worst thing Wargaming ever did to this game other than the "Physics" added a couple of years ago.

 

Both provide NOTHING good whatsoever.....  Just ruins the enjoyment of the game.

They could simply add a LOT more HP to tanks and increase Tank speeds greatly, and Arty low damage shots wouldn't be an issue, and Arty could also be made enjoyable by making them more accurate.

Frontlines also proves my theory that more HP would allow more people to enjoy the game....  They simply create a similar effect with respawning.

Same thing occurred with AW's GLOP's, most people liked that mode a lot more than Random.

Arty was better before, but it's okay now, just wish there were more of them.  Too many games with only 1 or none.  3 per game is ideal, we need premium tier 8s arties ASAP.

What?  Lol absolutely NO.  There should be only "1" arty per side max.

- Will give tankers less stress,

- Give the Arty player more food to eat,

- Will likely cause fewer people to play arty due to possibly slightly more wait time.

 

Win Win!

Not a win-win for paying arty players, not a win for WG, which is why they stated that they will NOT lower the current limit of 3 per side and that the discussion is over about arty.   People need to learn to play with arty in the game, it's NEVER getting removed per WG.

Totally wrong, but common misconception. 

 

In air detonation the shockwave is defeated almost entirely by the armor.

  

Ex: WW2 German Topfmine had about the same HE charge as the current USA 155 arty shell.   The mine would be more effective against the tank than an artillery shell a half meter away, , since the blast is working against a hard surface, yet it was common to do little more than severely disable vehicle mobility against a Sherman.      Modern MRAPs have be hit with blasts far greater than absolutely any WW2 artillery hit, and the injuries to crew are a result of the vehicle being tossed around through the air... not some magical blast wave going through the armor like a gamma-ray.  

 

Not enough proof?   Ever hear of a "Flail-Tank"?  Nice British design that pounds the mine into detonation only feet from the hull.  Post war designs threw the debris toward the hull.    Plenty of videos of them in action, detonating mines during the invasion of Europe, never did see one where the tank came to a halt with the crew damaged at all.
