The last few weeks I have been having a lot of problems with the game crashing randomly. Sometimes during matches, other times while in the garage looking at tech tree/stats/missions, that sort of thing. In full screen mode I have to reboot the computer to get out of it. So now I play in windowed mode, at least then I can shut the window down. In windowed mode when the crash happens the cursor turns into the spinning blue circle and the program has the "WoT no responding" message. If I restart the program during a match when this happens I rejoin the battle (assuming someone has not killed me in the mean time). That implies the client is crashing, not the server or the computer/OS. I am running vanilla WoT, no mods or anything of that sort. Computer is a 8700K system, with a 1080Ti graphics card.

Any ideas why this might be happening and how it can be fixed?

We cant really help with that. We can suggest things, and try to fix it, but I would recommend sending a ticket.

Ill ask some questions:

  • Ram?
  • Space on HDD/ SSD?
  • Any programs running?
  • Any crash log?
  • Does it happen in windowed borderless or full screen?

I have 64GB of RAM, SSD has 350GB free, no other programs running, happens in both borderless and full screen modes.

I have not had the same issue on my second computer (3770K, 16GB RAM, 680Ti graphics card), or my laptop (7500U, 16GB RAM, R7 M440 graphics card). It appears to be specific to my main computer. All three systems are running the latest Win 10 (ver 1803).

The second computer is running driver version 23.21.13.8831, while the main computer is running driver version 24.21.13.9811. Perhaps the driver is the issue?

With me, ever since this stupid soccer update, I crash about every 3 or 4 games sometimes sooner. What happens is during the countdown, after about 10 secs the screen freezes, though all of the sounds and the timer are still working. The mouse pointer appears and this is my clue. When I close out the game I'm greeted with a message about my video card drivers crashing and restart the game.

Looking at the python log there are a bunch of entries of the game trying to log in to WOT websites in .ru, .eu, .asia for info. The game has NEVER done that before.

Here is an example:

This is a brand new computer with 32GB RAM and a 6GB VRAM GTX 1060 video card.

Playing with no mods at all. Straight vanilla.

Windows 10 version 1803 is the biggest gaming issue culprit presently. In all my years of pc gaming  (since win95). I have never seen a version of windows that causes more game issues then this stupid windows 10.   winXP and Win7 were a work of art compared to this crummy OS. I haven't been able to complete a battle since my system installed 1803. Unfortunately for me, I only discovered 1803 was my problem after the 10 day rollback period ended. Now I'm screwed to a fix comes out, if ever. My computer just shuts off as if I have a graphics card or power issue, but that is not the case.

Last year after the spring windows creator update, I couldn't play games for 3 months til one of the many kb patches must have fixed whatever my issue was. Sent my laptop back to MSI, and they could find no issues with any hardware.

Good luck and post if you find any work arounds to try.

Good to know. I'm still using the 1709 update. Haven't updated to 1803 yet, though I have it ready to go. All of my games seem to work fine with W10, though I have to fuss with the install process and settings to get them to work. I've never had a video driver problem what so ever playing WOT until this stupid soccer (who cares) update. My computer is an MSI GE63VR laptop.

running game in reset graphics mode seems to stop the problems, looks like running full screen with out boarders is where the problem is
