I am still using the dpm gun however I feel like selling the tank despite almost getting a pools this morning, can still ap carry with the dpm gun however it is Sloppy and wimpy like a wet noodle so if you like being able to snipe with some ease use the other gun.

IMO they're both good, it mostly comes down to which you're more comfortable with, or works better for how you play the tank.

In general terms, the higher RoF gun is better if you brawl at close range, or try DPM trades (especially if you can afford to HEAT spam targets when needed).  The other is great for fighting at mid range (or sniping if you hate everyone on both teams), while still great at close range as well (just a bit less DPM and OTM handling).

Everything I have researched said to upgrade the T54 with the D54.

it has .33 dispersion and better pen than the D-10TS.

You can get the top turret, then the cannon then go for the tracks and finally the engine.

Always go with accuracy. Faster shots that miss don't help you.

The dpm gun no question. Its a brawling tank and you will get wrecked running the slower firing gun.If you want to snipe run something else like the obj430II which is basically the T54 before they messed with the accuracy.

My vote is T55 gun. Seems like its the best parts of both combined.

Dpm gun. If you want to snipe with a medium, there are other tanks that fill that role better.

i used the accurate gun, for some time. for one as mentioned the accurate gun has -5 depress, the dpm gun -6 depress. the (supposed)'accurate' gun, as a poster mentioned above, one of the guns handles like a wet noodle, i have retired my t54 before i put the other, dpm gun on, so if both are noodlie i know the accurate gun isnt as sharp as youd like handling. the dpm gun has a rather atrocious 2.5 aim time, the 2.0 seems better, gun doesnt perform as good as youd feel it should, mid- and long-range shots stray in one direction or another, you really have to snap circle to get mid- and long-accuracy.
