Ok, so how did things go tonight? Well, I figured that since the client had a short patch overnight maybe they fixed the stability problem.

Played one game. No issues.

Next game. A few minutes in my computer abruptly shuts down and restarts. Ok, rush to restart the app to get back in game. App seems to be running but cursor is only active outside the window. Shut the app down again, and start it up once more. This time I get back into the match, but just in time to see the team lose. But, when going back to the garage I get a black window and the game is no longer responding.

I had enough and gave up.

Seriously guys, get this fixed. The program that does this on my computer is WoT. The drivers and everything else is exactly the same as before the soccer patch and the game worked fine then.

The game wouldn't just shut down your computer... lol

You either have a virus or some software hardware instability.

Either way, problem is on your end, not theirs.

I've had the same issues, not necessarily in that order, recently, but I'm too computer illiterate to know why. WOT is the only game I play. I'm running Windows 7, Intel Core 2 Quad cpu, Q9650 @ 3.0 Ghz 3.00 Ghz, 4.00 GB ram. My video card is Nvidia G Force GTX 750TI

It is not a virus and the crashing only happens with WoT, so I doubt it is a problem with my computer. The computer was running fine until the soccer update. It is only since then that there have been major stability issues. The exact trigger for the crash various and the way it manifests itself varies, so trying to figure out what is going on is difficult.

It is possible that it may have something to do with Win10 v1803, which apparently has some issues but since no other program is doing this I am guessing that the client is doing something that could have been OK in the past but now is not. I did a clean install of the latest video drivers but it is still crashing randomly.

The computer restarts, it acts the same way as if you pressed the reset button. Only WoT does this, no other program.

It is not a virus.

Then its a software compatibility issue or something to do with hardware instability... It's still not WG has to "fix".

The game has had issues with modpacks that were outdated, causing the client to crash to desktop. But nobody has had an issue with it crashing their computer.

It sounds kind of like a windows instability problem? A fresh install of windows could fix that.

Two computer resets in total, the vast majority of the crashes are application hangs. It only happens with WoT.

Looking at the History and maintenance reports, the application hangs are immediately preceeded by a hardware error, with the following information:

Source
Windows
Summary
Hardware error
Date
‎6/‎20/‎2018 11:20 PM

Description
A problem with your hardware caused Windows to stop working correctly.

Any idea what might be causing this? The parameters vary, this is another common one:

I run some anti crash mods on my computer but, they are all hardware based.

So it would seem to be a problem with nVidia's drivers.

Specifically it is being caused by "GRAPHICS_DRIVER_ENGINE_TIMEOUT"

Reduced the graphics settings from maximum to high. No client hangs, but the computer did reset while client was waiting in the garage. Will try medium settings to see if that helps.

Crashes only happen with WoT, no other application does it.

Since I set graphics quality to medium, all crashing ceased. There have been a lot of patches over the last few weeks, so it is possible that WG have corrected the client bug, but it definitely had nothing to do with my computer. My guess is that at higher quality settings the client was trying to use high end graphic functions incorrectly and that was crashing the display and/or computer.

No not necessarily, lowering the graphics to medium also means a much reduced computer resources are being utilized hence less or no crash. This is why my link above asks you to see if the computer resource issue you might have is related to an IRQ conflict or onboard sound/soundcard issues.

You folks saying it’s user hardware issues, bull crap. Since the silent overnight update, my system I built crashes on WoT ONLY! My 390 card with 8gb has always done well until the last update. I even re installed the game along with wiping all video drivers and re installing. This is a WoT issue! I’ll be waiting for a fix before trying again. Even on lowest graphic setting it crashes.

Installed a new larger SSD drive, clean install win7 pro, latest amd drivers for my 390 card, so I know it’s clean. Still crashes. Decided to try run in safe mode. Works. Then tried to play soccer, friggin crash. Stress tested my card before I installed the new ssd. Pasted. Hardware issues my [edited]. It’s WoT software from last update!!!

My system was 99% stable over the last 2-3 years actually. Only since recently I'm having crashes almost every second game. Everything else is still stable. I will see if http://forum.worldof...client-crashes/ helps.

-- edit: the advice from the link seemed to help, could play 5 games in a row without a crash so far...
