This country has 3 power grinds ...

Read that as 3 unprotected power grids ...

East of the Mississippi, West of the Mississippi, and Texas.

Just one of those grids falling to a successful EMP event will throw this country into long-term chaos.

Successful attacks on all three will put us back in the Stone Age.

This isn't tinfoil hat stuff - it comes from the government white paper.

And just one meteor bigger than a half mile would destroy human civilization. What's your point?

The human event is more probable ...

Tells me a lot about who your teachers were ... :sceptic:

Makes me wonder who your teachers are, since you seem confused. The power grid in this country is complex, consisting of over 500 companies with numerous interconnects. There is no evidence that an "EMP" could disable any part of it. There is no real evidence EMPs do any of the things they are described as doing in bad science fiction. I'd suggest spending less time listening to Coast to Coast AM or wherever you're getting your information.

Read the GAO report, Prive - just like I indicated.

The US Army report, which I'm betting YOU didn't have clearance for, fills-in between the lines.

At least tree of my teachers were WW2 veterans ...

One was a Marine in the Pacific ... G'Canal, Tarawa, and Iwo.

One was an Army tanker in the ETO.

One was a polymath and linguistics expert in Russian - he monitored radio traffic 1944-1954. I didn't know any of that until after he died in 2012.

None of which is relevant to anything, since you're dealing in pure paranoid sci-fi.

Nobody has ever knocked out a power grid with an EMP. I don't have to prove anything, you do.

I bet you think they have aliens stored at Area 51, don't you? You probably believe in Bigfoot, Chemtrails, and think that 9/11 was an inside job.

Yeah, keep spewing your crap, Prive ...

I'm tired, so I'm gonna bow-out, now .... I'm sure all the other Libs and children on the forum will give you the up-votes you're striving for.

I am 70 years old and have heard this garbage since I can remember. They used to make us slide under the desk and cover our heads in case of a nuke attack. That came from the government also. Same government that said they had all the asteroids tracked no danger. Same government that told me Nam was our duty to defend against communist proliferation. Same system that said Iraq had WMDs. Same educational system that taught us there were two different political parties when it impossible to tell the difference between which scum bag to vote for. Same government/educational system that told me all men are equal when they were not in America. Dont spread the crap that things have changed. Nothing has changed. And its people our age failing to set the path that has created what is now.

working in the hood for about 6 months made me racist, this game though, is making me countryist.

"Nationalist" is proper ...

But the folks who jump to "Racist" were trained by an education system infested with socialists (We call them "Libs" now), so they have no idea what nationalism is ...

It started with the sons and daughters of the men (lost fathers) who fought and died in WW2, Korea, and Vietnam.

They became educators and administrators of education, and they bred educators and administrators of education ...

For a long time, that [edited] didn't fly in Texas ... but now ...

No wonder the world is going to Hell ...

In the case of Korea and Vietnam......maybe they didn't like their loved ones dying in a country where the US used chemical weapons and killed MILLIONS because they chose a different economic system than the one the US wanted them to.....

You can trust the US government. Just ask an Apache or Navajo, if you can find one.

From the same govt.....

"We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders, raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."

Really says it all, corrupt to the core.  Thankfully I don't live in that police state masquerading as a Republic anymore.

Poor deluded soul.  One software bug and one branch of foliage caused the 2003 black out.

https://en.wikipedia...lackout_of_2003

"..Most did not get their power back until two days later. In other areas it took nearly a week or two for power to be restored...."

And please read about Starfish Prime

https://en.wikipedia.../Starfish_Prime

"The weaponeers became quite worried when three satellites[which?] in low Earth orbit were disabled. The half-life of the energetic electrons was only a few days. At the time it was not known that solar and cosmic particle fluxes varied by a factor 10, and energies could exceed 1 MeV. In the months that followed these man-made radiation belts eventually caused six or more satellites to fail[12], as radiation damaged their solar arrays or electronics, including the first commercial relay communication satellite,"

Further reading  "Operation Fishbowl" (of which Starfish Prime was part)

 https://en.wikipedia...ration_Fishbowl

"...Starfish Prime caused an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) which was far larger than expected, so much larger that it drove much of the instrumentation off scale, causing great difficulty in getting accurate measurements. The Starfish Prime electromagnetic pulse also made those effects known to the public by causing electrical damage in Hawaii, about 1,445 kilometres (900 mi) away from the detonation point, knocking out about 300 streetlights, setting off numerous burglar alarms and damaging a telephone company microwave link[11] (the detonation time was nine seconds after 11 p.m. in Hawaii)..."

And if EMP weapons do NOT work, maybe you should tell the government not to waste it's money..

https://www.youtube....h?v=SDvZyrTX_Gg

"CHAMP, for Counter-electronics High Power Microwave Advanced Missile Project."

Have a great day!

A government that spouts foolishness like " All men are created equal " just can't be taken seriously.
