incorrect. big maps all have places for those tanks to be played, it may just not be what you are used to.

meanwhile, the small maps just suck because people can see each other from the start of the match and there is too little room for many tanks to work well, especially arty.

Basically its line up blast away and see which teams HP lasts longest.

glacier... just burn that map in hell it's complete garbage

It's awful.  I still don't want it removed, but it's probably the stupidest map in the game since they removed the "Candyland" map where you could hide behind giant gun drops and knock down the candy canes.

Here is the list of the 21 removed maps;  Pearl River, Port, Live Oaks, Komarin, Sacred Valley, Klondike, South Coast, Highway, Pilsen, Mittengard, Kharkov, Stalingrad, Widepark, Windstorm, Winterberg, Winter Himmelsdorf, Swamp, Hidden Valley, Severogorsk, Northwest and Dragon Ridge

Reviewing that list reminds me that I like almost ALL of those maps more then Ensk, Paris, Mines, and Glacier.

And was Mittengard removed?  I thought it was just Tier 1 only.

I would not have guessed that.

I think I'm going to loose it with this game if I can't get a better variety of maps. I stopped playing for about six months, just came back a couple of weeks ago and at first I loved it, I got every map in the game over the first few days with little repetition. However, recently it is magic forest, magic forest, magic [edited]forest with a smattering of some of the others. I would like big maps and lots of them.

Big maps punish the super heavies and other slow tanks. Forcing tanks to brawl once in a while isn't a terrible thing.

small, and midsized funnel maps dominate the meta and the rotation.  this isnt' a "once in a while thing".

Sunday I had abbey literally 3 times in a row, followed up by himmelsdumb in a LT.  in that same hour I also had Paris, ruincrap and ensk.  no joke.

on maps this small with the huge view ranges, number of LTs and TDs in the queues there is no "once in a while".  you either brawl, or just yolo to move onto the next match as quickly as possible after that much trash map experience.

I am however also in the minority, I don't believe that the notion of "there's a place for every tank class" on maps is actually true on most of them.  the 'half and half' maps, especially those with hub/spoke design in reality give the paper tanks a place to be meaningless, while the real out come of the battle is most consistently decided in the meat grinder areas.  this is in part because most of those stupid maps are too small, and they don't offer sufficient, or realistic flanking opportunities for paper tanks.

many were basically carbon copies of maps that remain, and having them doubly represented in the game was stupid anyway.  others like sacred valley, windstorm, kharkov, stalingrad and wide park can rot in hell.

live oaks is still in the game I'm pretty sure...  I had a battle there just two days ago, and saw some streamers doing advances on it last night.

I echo all the sentiments of "we need more maps". I would like all maps brought back (good or bad) for variety. But, just voting for my most disliked map... Mountain Pass, I just cringe when I get this mother of all corridor maps.

Two maps being tested -- one is supposed to be similar to Northwest/Dragon ridge -- the other is a rework of the tourney map Ghost Town (it is a perfectly symmetrical map -- if that isn't boring I'm not sure what is)...

They had some awfully 1 sided maps before 1.0 and now is the same they just changed the advantage of the maps to benefit the other sides.

Has nothing to do with knowing how to play. Its same funnel down to one spot and blast away. No variety.

Mines needs a rework, the north spawn has a huge advantage getting to the hill and it's pretty hard to win on the south spawn. Derpenberg is just a crapshow now, was one of the better maps until they made it flat. Paris has no business being in randoms and ensk needs to be limited to t6 and lower. Glacier needs a rework to make more than 2 parts of the map viable. Province either needs the caps placed differently, the spawns placed differently, or just reworked in general. I think that about covers my thoughts.
