Even though I like the historical missions, ever since that update, when I try to exit the game, the whole computer freezes.  It's only this game and I don't know what's causing it, but I think it may have started just before the historical missions even.

OP if you're running mods try safe mode from the start button.

If you're not running them or that doesn't remedy it try the integrity check from the launcher.  Upper right gear icon then support tab.  It'll replace any missing/corrupt files.

Good luck.

Sounds like a corrupted game cache file.

It’s the friggin software after last update. Mine crashes all the time, sometimes during the game, sometimes after. Can’t even play in safe mode. Installed a brand new larger ssd, re installed fresh win7 pro. Still doing it. My i7 hex and amd 390 card exceeds requirements. It’s the friggin software!!!
