Back from a 24 hour ban for transgressing the forum rules - my humblest apologies to Wargaming!.... :(

Anyway, it's given me time to reflect on the error of my way and contemplate on what is really important in this game. Firstly, I have resolved to definitly improve my game, My stats are atrocious and I have decided to include my signature image in all my posts to remind me just how bad they are and save others the time in looking them up. Please help me to improve and become a better player.

BUT....  in order enjoying a fairer game, I still think that skill based machmaking is the way to go and it's not just me that thinks so....

Wargaming Office - Austin, Texas

So Larry - Sergei tells me that there was a bit of excitement on our local forum last night.

It's Harry Sir, but yes - had to slap a ban on one of our regular players, seems he upset some of the stooges, I mean our 'elite' and got reported for it. Serves him right, the punk!...

So what was his beef?

Well Sir, seem that he is an advocate of Skill Based Matchmaking, been on about it for a while now and is really getting under the 'elite's' skin.

Well, what's so bad about SBMM Larry, sounds fair to me.

It's Harry Sir, the 'elites' have this notion that it is going to affect their winrate and make them work a bit harder to maintain their stats.

That's hogwash Larry and you know it, what about all the less skilled players, don't you think that they also deserve a fair deal?

You mean the tomatoes? - to be honest Sir, nobody really gives a hoot about them. You've got to admit they are pretty useless, just look at their stats.

"Stats, Shmatz!". It's about time folk started having fun and enjoying the game - not always worrying about their stats.

Well Sir, the 'elites' do have a point - they want the matchmaker to be random. They think that this will make the game fair for everybody.

If you ask me Larry, these 'elites' wouldn't know random even if it jumped up and slapped them in the face. It wouldn't be too difficult to use the WC database to add a skill field to the matchmaker criteria then tweak the program to balance tanks AND player skills.... Bob's your uncle!

But that would make queue times longer and upset our players.

That's bull Larry, nobody would even notice an extra second or two. I think it's time we moved on this before we lose any more players.

What would you like me to do Sir?

You go talk some sense into those 'elites' - sounds to me as if they are being a bit selfish over this whole matter. We want ALL our players to benefit and enjoy the game. Meanwhile, I will give Sergei a call...

This makes me sad.

Hit me up with an in-game friend request and we'll go seal clubbing together.  You might feel better and your stats (winrate atleast) will improve a bit.

Can we skip the week, and go straight to perma? It's clear he has no interest in improving his behavior.

Neg rep?

Does that even matter?

On reddit? I think so, but not a Reddit expert.

Here? No, not at all.

When this forum had neg rep, I saw no change in behavior. Trolls and idiots are still trolls and idiots.

In fact, I have never seen neg rep mean much on any forum I have been on. Except some who use it as some kind of honor badge.

I wish WG would implement SBMM for a one month trial on NA. Then my old account here would be reactivated and transferred to EU when the server population became less than the LATAM server on a bad day..

How can you say this, yet want sbmm?

It’s like saying I have all the time in the world, but I’m in a hurry.
