Thinking about repurchasing one of the listed. Played the IS4 long ago when I wasn't too savvy with the heavy play style so was terribad with it. Still don't see many in game, is it really that bad?

Played the Maus more recent after a hard grind to get it and was immediately discouraged by the fact that all the Heat Slingers of which tier X is loaded with sat in ambush waiting for you to turn your turret  to fire so, I figure whats the need for an expensive Heavy that gets melted down everytime you try to fire the gun. Seems like a small return for a Heavy tank that's noted for being able to take lots of damage. And please don't say learn to angle. If you don't get the chance to deal damage what's the point. And yep, I rage sold it. Thanks for you opinions in advance.

Chances are that a lot of people are going to end up buying or repurchasing the IS4 as it has been almost a year since WG hinted at reworking the line. As is the IS4 doesn't have any use other than as a garage ornament.

You would be a fool to buy the IS4, but any fool can make the Maus work.

Get the Maus.

I have every top tier heavy Russian tank in the game except the IS-4.

I never try to research it because friends and clan mates told me to opt out on that one.

Might I ask why you don't play your OP Maus more? 28 games seems like a small sample size for comparison? No disrespect intended here.

They actually play very differently. One it a frontliner tank that you push with and also hold an area with specially in city maps (Maus). The other is a flanker support tank that is never used in a frontline situation unless you have a lot of support.

The Maus also is being used in CW still while the IS-4 has lost favor for awhile now.

Isn't the Maus in the same no support boat as the IS4, no support = dead Maus also.

I wouldn't buy any of the two, instead save your credits to buy a meta tier10 or a Type [edited]5 heavy

Maybe but a competent Maus player would be able to hold off longer and even survive as well as damage more than an IS-4 in the same situation.

My issue with the IS4 is the turret roof being foil so misc junk can easily overmatch, wouldn't surprise me if the Sunday paper tossed by baby arm will go through with some ease. I do hope that it gets a little love then changed into a reward tank someday like the Foch 155 ect.

I actually like the IS-4 quite a bit. The Maus is more CW meta, but I prefer the 4 in pubs because it's much more flexible.
