Can WG increase the blacklist cap from 1000 to like 2000? I can't blacklist anymore people. I need more blacklist slots

Honestly, if the blacklist was 20,000 slots, I'd still ask for more... It's easier now that I've simply turned after-game messaging off, and you can block for a single match, but really, I'd put 90% of the server on my blacklist if I could. Hey, that's just me.

x.

Not that I need it - at least yet.  But plus one, now if they'd just incorporate that into vanilla for folks that don't run mods.

They need to just remove the limit entirely because I've got 1,000 map spammers on my blacklist and need infinitely more room to add more of them.

I like the black list, it makes it easier to target your black fan base.

If the cap was much higher I would have entire clans on the list mainly those 43-46% players who ruin mid and high tiers by platooning. The only other sort I black list is the pm ragers and the scam sellers who spam the whole damn server.

You do know you can prevent the scammers with a setting in options. Click "accept invites only from friends/clan". I haven't seen any scammers for years with the exception of when I start a new line and play tier 1.

Not sure if you guys know this but you can mute players in chat without blacklisting them. I just mute the ping spammers and tomatos bickering with each other. I reserve blacklisting for players that decide to attack me personally be it verbally or otherwise. That way I have a nice indicator when they show up again on the other team and I can pay them "special attention" :)

The point is to PERMENATELY shut them up because I've removed map spammers to make room only to see them later spamming again.

I do pretty much the same thing as I've yet to see a map spammer so prolific in his disturbances that I see him more than once a day or even once a week.  Blacklist for the battle works just fine for me in most instances where I find player behavior disagreeable.

And then at the end of the year, I go to my permanent blacklist and clear it out again because new year, new chance.  That's just me of course and I find this practice worth my time and so I've yet to run anywhere near the blacklist limit.

For those players who need an increase from approximately 5% of the player base online on any given day to approximately 10%.....well perhaps its time to shut off chat completely for you.  Not understanding how much of a resource hog it would be to double the blacklist limit, this topic is pretty much a shoulder shrugger for me.

Hey, how about something ... temporary?  So instead of a permanent 'black' list ... an unlimited 'cone' of silence for the targeted individual for the duration of the game?  It could be activated in a similar way to how you access allied player options (message, complain etc) ... in this case, temporary muzzle :D ... the benefit would be that it never needs 'increasing', self regulating with automatic shutoff and completely flexible ... and the blessed silence!

Bhahahahaha ... that image ... priceless.  Now all we need is an emoticon for a 'barking' A$$hat getting the 'cone'  :great:!

Yeah basically in GTA5 online if anyone was caught cheating then they had a permanent dunce cap placed on their character. Besides that they could only play with other people that cheated.

Funny as it was I just don't get why Rockstar(the developer) didn't ban them outright but I guess they wanted to leat them enjoy the game in their own way with other people that played the same.
