Hey everyone,

Hope that you’re having a great Thursday!

Do you happen to remember the Aquino Tank Weekend contest I previously ran?

I ask because we have a new contest for something similar! We are giving away tickets to Tank Saturday – The COLD War hosted by the Ontario Regiment Museum!

If you’re unfamiliar with the Museum, here is a bit of info from their website: “The Ontario Regiment Museum is home to Canada's largest collection of operational Tanks and military vehicles.  With over 80 operational military vehicles in the fleet, you will not find a better place or opportunity to experience our Armoured History.”

The basics of the contest:
  • We are giving away 4 pairs of tickets (2 tickets per winner, 4 winners in total)
  • The deadline to enter the contest will be 08/06/18 at 12:00 UTC, and it begins as of this post
    • Any submissions after the deadline has passed will not be considered valid contest entries
  • Wargaming will not provide travel or lodging for the event. Please only enter the contest if you have the means to get to the Ontario Regiment Museum for Saturday the 11th
  • The event will be held August 11th at the Ontario Regiment RCAC Museum
  • Winners will be randomly picked from the entries

To enter:
  • Reply to this post with what tank you wish you could take for a real-life ride, and why you would choose that tank (or what you would do with your joy-ride)

The winners will be decided Monday the 6th at 12:00 CT and they will receive a PM with the ticket info shortly after this time. If you enter, be sure to keep an eye out on this thread and your PM’s!

Thanks, everyone, and we can't wait for your entries!

I take it you're referring to THE Ontario? Between Manitoba and KEYBECK?

Not the city near Pomona?

Might confuse some Californians there

I screenshotted the map from one of the links above to prevent any confusion:

Do the tickets include any of the vehicle rides or is it only entry? :B

I would choose the M60 for "modern" or the Sherman for WW2. Either would be way cool.

Neat idea.  Hope maybe you'll do it for the WW2 weekend.  I want to go to that one. :)

Unfortunately, no.  We love the Ontario Regiment RCAC Museum and the fine folks that staff it, but can't make it up to visit nearly as much as we would like.

The museum has a Sheridan, so I'd pick that, because there's the slightest chance I could ride in it sometime. Would just like to drive/ride around the performance field, maybe a few power slides in the mud.

Hey CM, Any chance of ever getting a premium version of Marvin Heemeyers "Killdozer" in the premium shop? Didn't have any main armament (Just rifles and handguns inside), so I suppose it'd have to be a low tier premium. Perhaps an idea for a Tank Rewards award tank? Regardless, Marvin is a national treasure that had his fill of corporate greed and sadly (Or comically, depending on how you look at it.) took the law into his own hands, converted his D-3 Komatsu into a marvelous work of art and then proceeded to drive through the commercial buildings of everyone in the small town he lived in, who he deemed wronged him. Don't mind me, I have a really zany sense of humor!

P.S. - Not planning on driving any converted heavy equipment through the front window of the premium shop yet, but another 2 weeks of the recent matchmaking, and I may very well get the welder out and start fabricating!
