Can you comment on this? Damage logs not showing when dead [Test server, 1.1]

Nice call on Province.  Overall looks like a decent update.

 

Finally got in a training room.  The Studzianzki map is very done.  That should be quite enjoyable.  The medium and scout players should really appreciate it.  Minsk, I'm not a city map guy.  I can appreciate why they'd want to make it. But I prefer open style maps like what they did with Studzianzki. 

 

Tough getting a match in with the mid tier Polish tanks.  The tier 5 looks like it will be quite fun with that autoloader spamming gold.

My Review of Common Test 1.1

Due to low numbers on Test accounts , only Tier 9 and Tier 10 seem to work . All other lower Tiers seem not to have enough players in que.  I would have love to try all the Tiers , some of those lower tier Polish Tanks looks like a lot of FUN.

POLISH 60TP   ,   This Drives like a Normal Heavy , not to fast. Up hill an T57 had me beat going up hill , but just by a little.  Next is the Armor , which is nice and Balanced for once. Many Weak spots if you have to fight this tank and has enough Armor to go 1V1 with most heavy Tanks.

Good Parts …….  GUN , when u can Hit. 

Bad Parts ……..   Reload.  seems like reload could be shortened a little.  The FV barn may reload quicker it seems.

I was able to catch 2 new maps . One Map was a "T" type of map.  Making corner of the "T" the most important spot on map. Nice long open shots , middle of map seemed to be a kill zone. I didn't go , I went edge by corner and had many shots once Scouts lit them up. 

Next Map was a city type map , I was lead Tank and was not sure were to go.  But decided to go Road or the 1 line. which seemed more protected then other lanes. I sat on the second line with the Polish 60TP and had a Blast.  1 line gave many open shots but with AIM of the 60tp it made it very hard to hit anything. Even letting it aim all the way down. At 100 meters it was a 50/50 that you would even hit a tank , no less hit a weak spot.  Both New Maps are a Great Welcome...…

As far as changes to old maps. I got caught were changes were made and drove off a cliff.  It would be nice to see some type of before and after on older maps . I'm just saying.....

Great new patch! Happy to see new maps and a new nation with its own unique tank line. Maps will take a while to test out and the new polish tanks seem balanced but will only be proven on the live server if they are or not. Unfortunate that there are no balance changes to other tanks or match making but we can't have it all in one patch.

 

My only question is concerning the personal missions and I quote: "A big change to the feature is that tank classes will no longer be the restriction for Personal Missions." With that said, why are some personal missions requiring stun damage? Only SPG's can cause stun damage and now the missions are also restricted to nations? Is this just a typo in the news page? Is it intentional? Maybe I don't understand how the missions work but that is restricting missions to a tank class...

 

For example:  For this mission you have to play an SPG that is from USA or UK....

Alliance-2. A Strike Out of the Blue  Stun 30 different enemy vehicles.

Be among the top 3 players on your team by experience earned.

Need to remove the stun missions, you did good by not limiting missions to a certain class of tank... and then restricted certain missions to literally one class of tank.

Only problem I see so far... The 7TP needs to have the 37mm Bofors Wz.37.  That's the historical gun for the tank.

Oh...and it has to be able to be mounted to the stock Bofors 2-osobowa turret.

Lol..as you can see I'm a little bit of a history buff...things have to be historically accurate enough for me.

...I'm still upset about the conqueror having to mount the historical L1A1 gun on the stupid Super Conqueror turret.

I think the tier nine and tier ten polish tanks are great I would work my way up the ping was really high and playability was difficult here in the USA I am now a big fan of the Polish tank line im currently a fan of light tanks I kinda wish for more lights hint hint

As ironic as it is with wargaming making the missions more "flexible" I still wonder as to why the stun mechanic was a good idea to begin with.

The idea was that nothing could possibly be worse than arta having the potential to deal high alpha, so trading that alpha for the stun and some accuracy/ROF buffs was supposed to make things easier for everyone. However, the real problem wasn't the alpha in the first place, it was the ability to deal damage from outside of render range and safely behind solid cover, as well as to ignore the victim's cover. would like to see drastic changes in match maker.

when i que up a tier 8 i don't want to fight tier 10's or tier 6's.

is most fair and competitive fighting own tier.

this could be fixed by making 10 v 10, 5 v 5, or at last resort 1 v 1 if someone has tier1 qued up at dead hours.

adjust credits and exp accordingly. like x2 exp/credits for a 10 v 10.. x3 for 5 v 5.. x 5 for 1 v 1.

 

personally i would enjoy a 1 v 1 match with no long que against own tier than a 2 minute que and fight tier 10's with my tier 8 180 pen...

 

make matchmaker where after 1 minute in que if 15 v 15 is not matched drop to 10 v 10.

after 1:30 if not enought at tier for 10 v 10 drop to 5 v 5..

at 2 minutes if not enough in que for even 5 v 5  make a 1 on 1..

at 2:30 if there is just you in que with that tier message 'play diff tier and drop player out of que.

 

anyone that is worried that they just can't get as much damage as they want to pad their stats/xvm/pr is just narcissistic

Personal missions 2.0 Review

Bit of background; I have the T55A and am very unlikely to get the Obj 260.

The new missions in general are too hard for their level/tier. For example the first set of the second campaign seem to be as hard as the second or third set of the first campaign sometimes, I though they were supposed to be done alongside the first campaign, not after or as a second level of personal missions. They seem very hard for ~T6 tanks. Also, some of the missions of the second set of the second campaign are comparable to missions of the fourth set of the first campaign. The third set is hard, and should be hard, but I think someone who has actually obtained the obj 260 would be better to analyze it. I would like to see some reduction (10~20%) in some of the missions, I will not specify because there are quite a few that need their numbers (not the type/kind) revised.

Besides the level of difficulty of some missions I do very much like the different concepts for these missions, mostly the first and third set. I like that they feel different and give a different kind of goal.

P.S. Why can't these rewards tanks at least get premium crew multiplier? I get the reason for the lack of credit multiplier, but at least make them good crew trainers so more people take them out.

Fix the power creep! Most old tanks are now unplayable and the matchmaking is absolute garbage. Every tier 8 game puts you against tier 10s, and every tier 7 game puts you against tier 9s. Glad I stopped buying premium a long time ago.

To my knowledge the tracks on the 279 behave like the tracks on the T95. Theoretically you have 4 tracks but they are grouped in pairs.

It wasnt a good idea to begin with... it served to make arty less fun to play against.

i am not impressed by the polish tanks. well to be more accurate the tier 6 is way to slow it goes about 30 when it says 50 not sure if its playstyle is suppose to be like a TD or what but it is not fun. the heavies are fine i feel like they are mixing american and soviet into their heavies or based on what i've seen on them.

Basically just another patch ignoring the overly nerfed American heavies in which you can just shoot thru the turrets and pretty much everywhere else on them.

 

While, of course continuing to buff the already super fake Russian lines.

 

Same goes with all reworked maps they are designed to favor the no depression Russian tanks by making the hills smaller which screws the tanks that are suppose to rule the depression fights.

This is more behind the scenes feedback: but can you tell the devs to repackage the vehicle packages so they arent in multiple parts... its extrememly obnoxious to find textures when theyre split out over multiple parts.
