Hello All,

I have a channel dedicated to helping the new to intermediate player improve their WoT game play.  Here's a recent video where I discuss skill based match making among other things.  I'll drop videos of interest from time to time here.  I do replay analysis, feature great, and not so great games and always try to find something to learn from all of them.

You can find my channel here.

Cheers,

Guido

Here's one that you can analyze and/or feature... It shows good scouting initially, and late-game heroics, along with a few close calls.

Otherwise, great work, keep it up!

Just had to do this one tonight because it was just a great game and a lot of fun.

Well Done,

Guido

Thanks for the review, great commenting... Sorry it was a slow start, but I play to stay alive for late-game antics, just like happened in this replay.

As for moving in the bush early in the match, I didn't want my side to be sticking out beside the bush, so I re-positioned. You caught that I might have been close to being spotted a bit later on, but thankfully wasn't. As for veering left down the hill near the end, I just wanted to swerve as I drove, as I usually do. I didn't know where the artillery were set up, so I wasn't going to guess if I was safe, I just wanted to be moving erratically.

This match was one of my personal best, and it happened about a week ago. I'm moving through 3-Marking light tanks (something to keep me occupied), and that was from the AMX 13 75 session. I'm now on to the LTG and I'm tired of it being such a turd soI might give up on it - that tank needs a serious buff, or maybe it simply doesn't work to my play style.

Thanks again, Guido... If I have more goodies, I'll send them your way.

x.

Capping can be controversial.  Sometimes it's needed to win, but more often it's attempted too early, before the proper conditions are met and causes a loss.  How to know the difference will improve your W/R.  Here's a short discussion on that subject with an example.

Cheers,

Guido

Had one of the forum regulars send some replays to comment on.  I did that and here's the result.  It's very good to have good to great players show their bad games because that's really where some of the best learning comes from.  Pay particular attention to his comment in the comments section explaining some of the things he was thinking.  A two way analysis is the best kind.

Cheers,

Guido

All,

Here's a discussion about analyzing the fight, your options even when they aren't great and your part in it as well some discussion about using terrain.

Cheers,

Guido

Here's a discussion about analyzing the match (map/mode/your team/enemy team/tier placement, etc) and not always relying on the "class meta" position.  Sometimes you can take that medium to the heavy brawl area.

Cheers,

Guido

A review of the new T26E3 Eagle 7, a Tier 7 American Medium tank.

This is an in depth review with 4 examples of game play.

Overall it's a solid tier 7 premium and a good US trainer as well as a competent medium and decent credit maker.

Thanks to the WoTNA crew for the access to the tank.

Cheers,

Guido

New series called Map Room.

1.0 has been with us for while and then HD changes have developed well enough to talk about the maps.

This is an in depth discussion about the map Abbey.

Cheers,

Guido

Looking for a way to learn more about this game?  May I suggest light tanks?

Hey Guido

Any plans to do more of the Map series? As an average player map positioning is something I really struggle with. Any tips here would be very welcome
