Still going to be another crap map if you make it to 100% favor the Russian tanks like you have changed every other map in the game to do with having no gun depression needed for the best spots.

Just wonderful to see the flow of new and refurbished maps coming out.  Empire is simply stunningly beautiful and Highway is also a wonderful refresh.  Lillehammer looks very promising and fun.  I do understand Wargaming being sensitive to the "fairness" of sides in maps, but frankly, I think too much energy is spent on trying to perfect "fairness" of terrain to achieve a 50/50 win rate split.  Fairness gets balanced to a large degree by randomness team composition and the 50/50 chance of spawning on either side.  I am not suggesting that no attention at all should be given to having some balance, but the notion that each map should result in a 50/50 split on win rate seems like more energy than it's worth.  More maps, even if slightly imbalanced is vastly preferred to removing or waiting for new maps.  Case in point is Province.  Sure it has issues for higher tier vehicles due to be able to spot across the map.  But it required adaptation and it wasn't like you were playing Province repeatedly.  I would prefer that all (or the overwhelming majority) of maps be open to all tiers and simply force adaptation of play.  Just one tankers opinion.

I don't know where I can post this suggestion or request to Wargaming.  I am curious about the opinion of other tankers as well.

 

Why not introduce another random map variable in the form of weather (on maps that this is logical)?  This might include 

  1. Rain
  2. Snow
  3. Fog

 

By introducing this additional random weather variable game play would be "modified" for these maps, essentially creating up to four maps from one and minimizing the  "staleness" of playing the same maps repeatedly.  Rain and snow would effect ground resistances and visibility.  Fog would effect only visibility and spotting.  It would be necessary to prohibit mods from removing weather and visibility parameters of the game.

 

Yes, I realize that some will fear even great "RNG" but isn't that the true nature of tank warfare?

 

Interested in hearing the view of other tankers on the merits and demerits of this idea?   Is there a reason this has NOT been introduced to date?

Looks good till you have 3 artys on each team and no place to hide . But the base idea looks good …

another thing is arty range, some might have to move out of the base to hit enemy tanks,: we NEED Lillehammer to be released!

A bigger map is what I'd like to see as well.  Give tanks the opportunity to move from base for a little bit without being immediately at risk of being spotted and fired on in the opening moments.  A bigger map would also force SPGs to move around if they mean to engage targets, which would mean no more sitting in place on the back row.  And if bigger maps mean longer battle times, that's a good thing IMO as that means more play time.

 

In other words, more Grand Battle sized maps for the regular 15x15 battles would be great!
