I just got the t-44, it feels good but the low pen is messing with me and I haven't gotten the hang of it yet.

Once you get the top turret and therefore access to the 100mm it makes a huge difference.

So far it's been a pretty [edited]tank.  I have a lot of grinding to go in it to unlike the 430 and T-54, but I doubt I'll keep mine afterward.

I kept the T-43 because it works for me. The T-44 is nice when not bottom tier and the current MM is not nice to it but I will keep it and hope they get it fixed and for Frontline.. I have a good Russian training system for my mediums to keep good crews. Close to getting T54. Probably jump the 44 crew up for that and put training crew I have in T-34-85M into the T44.

I never liked it for two reasons....

1. Too slow

2. Ammo-Racks like crazy.

Plus, I have the T-44-100, which seems a bit decent.

Used to also have the Mod 1, and it was actually my first good premium tank, but they massively slowed the tank down so it became crap to me.

It used to I think have the speeds the 44-100 currently has, but sadly it doesn't have the Mod 1's armor.

i remember back in 2011/2012 where the tank was made of ammo racks and WAR was required equipment for the T-44 just so you dont explode every game. ever since they buffed the module hitpoints and introduced safe stowage though its been alot less explodey

I've re-bought the thing a couple of times, keeping it now.

I'll probably keep mine, even though I have the T-44-100, and T54 Mod 1; it's a decent tank, and it'll come in handy if FL comes back (and/or WG ever manage to un-f*ck T8 MM).

I kept mine simply because I have so many 100% medium tank crews in my barrack doing nothing. Crews from free gift tanks or events.  Good way to put them to use.

Ya, for me though even with all the "helps", it still ammo-racked WAY too much for my taste.

What's funny is the same day I made that post I was in a game and saw a T-44 explode.

I literally think I see one explode every couple of days.

I got a T44 100 so....

If you like it its basically tier 10 levels of mobility and gun handling at teir 8, so yeah I'd keep it...

But the current MM is freaking brutal. My T44 tech tree stats were amazing...then i finished the grind and played my T44-100 after all the mm changes and the new maps...the wr difference is like night and day. and quite a few of those games were played on my tech tree t44 before the uberbuffs. So that should tell you how much the MM has affected tie r8 gameplay.

66% vs 44% for my T44-100.

Speaks volumes.

Yes it is a keeper as there is NO RUSSIAN BIAS IN THIS GAME.

I kept mine (no crew for it for now and took some equipment off) because there are two lines to grind from it. I did the T-54 a while ago and then just recently got the Object 140 from that. Now the T-44 also has the Object 430 you can grind to which leads to the Object 430U. In case I ever want to go that way, I kept my T-44 which I can re-crew and re-equip some day if I want.

I have the T-44-100. So whenever I get around to finish the Object 430 grind, I'll sell my T-44.

T-44 leads to T-54 and Object 430.

Object 430 leads to Object 430U.

T-54 leads to T-62A and Object 140 (which is one reason why I kept my T-54 after I got the Object 140. In case I ever want the T-62A.

The T-44 is a good tank. I would finish both grinds from it first before you sell it.

One of the best things about playing Frontline was discovering the T-44 (through playing the T-44FL) and discovering I had already unlocked it. I bought the T-44 and used it and the T-44FL as my main tanks in Frontline. I used only the two of them in one battle to reach General. I tried about half-a-dozen other tanks, but none performed as well.

I now use the T-44 as one of my three main Tier VIII tanks, along with the Pantera and Type 59. I have had great battles at Tier X with it, sometimes getting the top XPs on my team.

If you like the vehicle and you want to keep it then do it. In my opinion there are plenty of better tier 8 mediums but keep what you like to play.

Currently grinding it and I am enjoying this tank. Whether I ultimately keep it will depend on if I can find a crew for it when I move up to the T-54.

Like was mentioned previously, it's worth it, unless you have one of the premium versions, especially t-44-100.

Yes. It's a fun tank. I run the 100 mm LB-1 & have had very few pen issues. With the mobility & troll armor, I have felt the spirit of Stalin with me inside this tank.  It is the final resting place of my (as of this posting 3 skill) T-43 crew. :honoring:
But then again thanks to WG's many giveaways over the years I have a ridiculously large garage... :teethhappy: This is both a gift & a curse.
Also from the giveaways I have many Premium crew trainers in the STG, STG Guard, T-54 first prototype, & T-44-100 for further crew training for any Tier 9/10 advancements as well as a 4 skill Rudy crew that is waiting to be retrained.

No, straight up no, there's no reason at all to own this tank, the premium T-44-100 is just better, you like how the T-44 plays, you'll do everything just a little bit better in a T-44-100.   The premium made this tank obsolete, its redundant to the T-44-100.   The only reason to keep it is if you're poor or cheap.

After grinding the T-54 and the 430 I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed playing this tank.  But I have the premium version too, so I sold it.
