So after taking a hiatus from the game for a while as you know, life happens. I go to play the game to find out that it still uses my old e-mail from 2011 which AOL as of since has erased

To boot, I haven't had the phone number listed in my account for probably 2 years now.

So I go to use support to put in my new number, and it says number format is wrong for the new number.

So after probably $1,000+ they've gotten from me, they are incapable of supporting changes to phone numbers and e-mail to players who've played for almost a decade.

Guess they will never get more out of my wallet again. And I will be putting effort to make this public on FB and other social media as this is ridiculous.

I'm sure you probably tried this, but try the old number that was originally associated with your account.  With 1k in purchases, you should be able to show them some kind of record of purchase history.  Your CC company can get you old records if required.  Send in a support ticket and see what they can do.   Or, message one of the Admins and ask for guidance.

It wont allow me to even progress in the support portal, because it wants an SMS from the old phone number.

Sorry to hear, I've had some bad luck with WG support in the past.
Is it even localized for the NA/LATAM?

An expired email account and no phone number?  How do they know that you are you and not someone else trying to access the account?
