Do you have MSI's Nahimic software running? It doesnt play nice with WOT (and some other games too).

Because Windows 10. Check which version you are running. There have been a lot of issues after version 1703 (by a lot I mean several - and Microsoft support made the suggestion)

It has happened a couple times to clan members tonight. Someone said it may be because of the new patch coming up and WG is implementing some of it now. Not sure how accurate that is but it seems possible.

How long are you waiting before you kill the process?  Mine tends to look like it's crashing after a battle but if a wait like ten seconds it loads back to the garage fine.  And are you running full screen or windowed border less?  I found running the game in windowed border less mode makes it run better.

If you go into your Event Viewer > windows logs > application > , you will probably see something like this > svchost (3892,G,98) The beta feature EseDiskFlushConsistency is enabled in ESENT due to the beta site mode settings 0x800000.

Currently Windows has no fix for this. Unfortunately, its not WG problem this time. If this is what you see, uninstalling the game, and re installing will not work. Reloading windows will not work. You can't disable it, and windows needs to publish the fix. Until then. Kinda SOL.

Or you go to an earlier version of Windows 10 - which is probably easier. As I said before "because Windows 10"

Ive never had this issue. And I use Windows 10..

OP:

Can you try to remove your game preferences file and reset your World Of Tanks settings back to default.

To perform this, please perform the following:

Hold the Windows key and press “R”.
In the Run window, type or paste “%APPDATA%\wargaming.net” (without the quotes).
    Delete the folder named WorldOfTanks.

Afterwards, simply launch the game. Also, this will delete all settings. Including login info.

This tends to fix alot in this game....

No, it will only delete settings. XVM will have to redownload some data, but that is done anyways when you install the mod.

I have only had this issue with last patch, there is an API that may be triggering this indexing, but most windows problem. I have also, adjust the compatibility setting for WoT, to run in Windows 8. Going to see what happens. I have no mods, and a clean install of both Windows 10 and WoT. Drivers are updated. So just going to wait. And deal with it. For now.

Have also done what Illusive Man has stated, no change.

When you say clean install of windows did you format the disk drive and delete the old partitions or just use the windows 10 reset tool? The built in reset tool doesn't clear out all old system files, I noticed this after running it on my laptop and it still listing steam in home streaming devices listed as devices.  Pretty sure installing windows 10 over another install does something similar as it tries to grab drivers from the old detected install.

As well as using ccleaner to get additional remnants. The problem with uninstalling is things are often left over. You need outside tools to remove these leftovers.

Same problem, same error in event viewer under Windows 10 Pro x64 1803.

Crap.  This only started a few days ago, and the game is basically unplayable for me now.  Either tabs out spontaneously or black screens, in which process quits responding and has to be force-closed.

Guess I'll put in a ticket, not that it's going to do much good...

Update: updating video card (EVGA 1060) driver and running in Windows 8 compatibility mode as suggested by Microsoft didn't help any, problem recurred immediately.

Warships was having a similar issue, games weren't being counted, that got "fixed" about an hour or two ago, seems like WoT was affected by the same thing.
