Has anyone noticed that with the latest update the game need for more PC resources?

My wife always played with 60 fps with gtx 1050ti ultras at 1080p.

Now game run at 48 - 50 fps.

My gtx 1070 needed only 35-37% gpu charge for ultra. Now need 60-62% charge for ultra.  + 50watts of power consumition.

some have this problem?

google how to defrag world of tanks install. assuming you have a hard drive, start there.

A fragmented hard drive isn't likely to have that kind of impact on FPS, if any.

It's not WOT.  It's your settings more than likely.  Right click on your screen and bring up your graphics menu.  Check and see that your set up to use max performance on power.  Texture filtering on High Performance.  Check the hertz rate on your monitor as well.

I have an NVIDEA GTX 760 and can get 90 fps on High resolution.  Sometimes, more.  Sometimes a little less.

There are also settings in the WOT menu for video refresh rate, etc..

Sounds like someone needs a modern video card

I’m running a GTX 960 on an I7 platform smooth as glass with everything maxed out im getting 60 FPS which is my max monitor refresh.

First off make make sure your video drivers are current, could be an easy fix, also disable all mods including XVM and see what you get.

If problem is still there do a complete uninstall and a fresh reinstall.

I was suddenly getting problems with really slow loading, sometimes I would come into the game and tanks were already rolling. After doing a bit of reading I downloaded a free defrag utility ( https://www.ccleaner.com/defraggler/download ;) and and it solved the slow load times, I had also read that over time not defragging at the file level would bog down FPS so it might be worth a try.

Ive heard Wargaming is having issues with sound optimization so try disabling sound in game as a test and see if it helps.

I’ve got a sound blaster audigy and love it plus it takes part of load off the CPU.

Hopefully  some part of the above will get your rig back in good form, good luck

not a defragged hard drive, a specific issue with this game and the way the resource data is stored causes issues with loading content which causes major problems with frame rate for people with low video ram that have to dynamically load content, and notice much longer load times after 1.0, etc.

How can you say it's not WOT?  It easily could be something with the new update.  I haven't played 1.1 yet, but I'll check it out.

Did you take note to what video cards he has?  I would think they should be able to handle the game a bit better than my card.

I am pretty sure it's the new countdown timer that's causing you grief.

Yes, get Defraggler.  After every major update, defrag  .../res/packages subd, then only.../res, then the WOTs subd.  If that doesn't work, then use defraggler to defrag whatever drive has the game installed.:)  My game is all ready to try out tonight; hope it goes well.

I use auslogics disk defrag. I run it every time I install or update a game. I've actually been getting in battle a bit faster than normal and haven't noticed a difference in fps.

I have a similar problem.  I dont know why but whenever I play the FPS goes down to 7-8 and sometimes even 3.  My computer is more than capable of running WoT just fine as I run other games on Ultra 60+ fps.  This is a big problem since I cant do good in battles which is bringing down my WN8.  I cant continue to play with this lag.  Is there anything other than defragger that can help me?  I tried it already.

Since update my FPS dropped to between 13-17. It really has an effect on game play.
