Hello peeps!

I need help with PC specification. I'm in desperate need of an upgrade and in the process of stashing $$$ to get a new PC. I'm not even close to get what I wanted, but I just saw a topic on FB and this guy is selling his 1y2m old PC because he's having a hard time IRL. Thought I may settle for a bit and buy it, since it seems decent enough for my needs at the moment.

I was wondering if this configuration would let me play WoT on High or maybe High with some of the stuff on Ultra.

Can you let me know what do you think about the configuration and is it sufficient for another 2 years of WoT or at least until I get some mean PC machine?

Config:

PALIT GTX 1060 3GB DDR5 Graphic Card
AMD FX 8350 - 4,0-4,3 GHZ Processor
LC POWER LC-CC-95 Cooler
ASUS M5A97 R2.0 Motherboard
8GB DDR3 1600 MHZ RAM Memory
WESTERN DIGITAL GREEN 1TB Hard Drive

120GB SSD
CORSAIR CX600M (80% Bronze, Modularn power supply)
CORSAIR CARBIDE 200R Case

Thank you for your time and input!!!

Unless they are asking like $400 for it, stay far away.

You can build a newer system that will smoke it for $600

Use https://pcpartpicker.com/ to build your PC. I used it to build my current beast pc and it was pretty good budget buy.

Hello My Friend ,

BEWARE , BEWARE , BEWARE , BEWARE...………

ASUS G701 Rog with all the "Top of the line" parts on it.  Core i7 Processor , quad core, 1080 Graphics card. Purchased just about one year ago today.  Well , I am on Laptop number #5 and I am just about to send number 5 back to ASUS for another type of Laptop.

Yes, I know Laptops really are not for gaming.  But as a Teamster by trade and always being on the move.  A laptop is all I can use.  My Computer numbers were tested at World of Tanks new "CORE" system , when it came out.  Happy to say, My laptop had the Highest numbers on the Forum.  Even Quickybaby's computer had lower numbers then my Beast.  The problem with ASUS Rog G701 is the "New" keys there using and now REMOVED from all laptops.  ASUS made a Monster Mistake by making keys called "Chicklet" type keys.  So Beware of "Chicklet" keys on anything. I paid over $4,000  and ASUS has had my gaming system more time then I had it. Making gaming very tough because every return means weeks with nothing and NO GAMES.

Please understand , I AM NOT BAD mouthing ASUS.

But they did make a huge mistake with those Chicklet keys.  Beware my friend. Do your homework......also you cant go wrong with a Desktop style gaming system.

Good luck and God Bless...…

TboneOathKeeper

I can see it and try it out before buying in a few days. He's like 55 miles away from me and working in opposite shift than I do so I can't go there earlier. Hence, this forum topic :)

Yeah, I know. Buying used stuff is never a good thing. But if I decide I'm going to buy it, I'm going to ask for at least 30-45 minutes of trying it out and playing something on it to see if there are some issues. :)

With a 1060 video card you should see a decent frame rate.  I have a 1060 6GB vid card and see a bit over 100 fps on ultra settings in an older i7 quad core running from an SSD,

While i do not know what is the best PC for the money, I can tell you that the system you noted is a little better than mine and I am doing great on SD Ultra.  I do not have the SSD so sometimes I load in with less than 10 sec on the count down, but otherwise I have no problems. I can run High on HD but I do not find the advantage worth the slight hit to frame rate. I get about 40 FPs on HD ultra. On Ultra SD i get around 60fps which is as good as my monitor can handle.

I have the following:

AMD 8350

12 GBytes DDR3 RAM

GTX1060 3G

Older 7200rpm Hard Drive

This is 1060 3GB, but with SSD and 4.0GHz octa-core I think I should have at least 80fps. Which is far better than what I have now - 40fps at best lolololol

Well... My intention is to stay on SD Client. And with what you said, I'm starting to have a good feeling about this thing I might buy. :)

I have 1060 3gb. It's alright, on ultra I drop to 40 sometimes so I run medium to try and get consistent fps.

Just make sure you validate all the hardware that is supposed to be there.  Also, not try for a couple of hours, at least a day before you give him your hard earned $$.

Nevermind... He sold it to a guy who came this morning, even though I told him I'll buy it. He couldn't wait for another few days.

I guess I'm not getting an upgrade after all :(

Thanks for all your comments and advices anyway, you've been great. Gl/hf
