So, currently arty does damage, stun crew and modual damage. So, to change that annoyance, why not have damage shells (+modual damage), and stun shells (no damage). Have the stun shells be more accurate, and faster traveling. The damage shells would be similar to the old arty, but with less splash radios, slower, and slower reload.

 

What do you guys think?

Loading times similar to the fastest loading in each tier, sure why not. If I have to wait 41 seconds then NO NO NO. But if say heavies and TD's get 40 second loads then YES YES

Ok, lets say at T6 (with 100% crew), the stun shell would have a reload 2x longer than its max stun duration. So, lets say 20 seconds with a 10 second stun. Then the damage shell would have a 30 second reload.

If all the tanks got their loading times doubled then why not.

 

We already are limited with ammo used. Then stun is a great simulation of HE shells exploding in the vicinity. If a real HE shall landed so close, stun would be the crews smallest problem, cleaning up the splattered brains of 1/2 the crew would be. A large tin can, hit with that concussive energy is the stun. The stun causes zero damage, is easily done away with by first aid, and largely mitigated by spall liners.

 

Now maybe if I got premium AP ammo back, I have 65 million credits just sitting and growing, with nothing to spend it on.

That has been suggested before to Wargaming's deaf ears.

Considering how many games I get zero assists points on stuns I doubt I would ever use them. And a 30 second reload at tier 6? Why not just say 'nerf arty!!1!!'?

 

If I was only getting hit by stun shells I'd love it, it would almost be like there was no arty in the game, since it only rarely has any serious effect. It would be like throwing water balloons in a gun fight.

Limit to just one per team and actually buff the handling and mobility so it is not a cludge, the accuracy sometimes is a real problem as it causes team damage for shells to go wide as they do which pisses me off big time. The reloads are annoying but if the dpm/rof goes up it will exasperate existing problems especially when there are already three M44s crapping on you.

I like how every post you make is irrelevant.... Also, given the fact that WG made it work in blitz, it would work here as well..... And I have no dilemma with arty. In fact, I play arty. And have fun in it. So.....

If you play arty and enjoy it why change it?  Really the only thing it needs is a limit of two per match.

Im not an arty player , BUT , I think arty needs a tad more damage to its gun and a bit less stun on Med and Lite tanks , A C hair less splash maybe  . Stun against Heavy's is just fine in my opinion .
