The tier 5 one is a riot when the game goes your way, it's bad beyond belief when you have to work for it

The tier 6 one is "ok" as long as you manage to stay hidden and snipe

The tier 7 one is "meh", feels like it needs more DPM or something. Not horrible but just .... "meh"

The prize is at tier 8, or I assume it will be based on the experience in my Strv. However that tank is also a bit situational and the whole siege mode thing suck when you have to play on the offense towards the end of game or on city maps

The UDES is a bit of a rage inspiring tank amongst players in general. It’s got a very good 105mm and that amazing camo value, with a full camo crew, BIA etc. Players literally had to be on top of me before I got spotted. So when you get spotted expect everyone in view range to just drop what their doing and erase you from existence as you’re a very dangerous tank to leave untouched. The STRV 1 will bounce some same tier and lower tanks while the UDES will not.

You will have a easier time helping your team in the UDES with the newer maps having less city fun-nels than the old ones. Those maps were every second game ffs and resulted in you getting your sh1t kicked in pretty quickly.

I'm up to the tier 9 (don't recall name) Most miserable line I've ever played, don't think I've exceeded 42% win rate in any of them. Click battle, we're down 6-12 minutes in...mindnumbing. Gun is nice. I'll prolly just drop the whole idea

Its not a very enjoyable line to play because its VERY situational and completely useless on a couple maps.

Here is my ace game in it in a tier 7 match.

http://wotreplays.eu...e/4244637#teams

I think that it is okay.  Its mobility is pretty good.  The alpha is decent.  What else do you really need at tier 5 against bunch of noobs?

In fact, the [edited]tier the tank it is, the easier it is to get ace or MoE or good stats.  And it is far from a bad tank.

So I started a "mission" to mark the IKV 103.  I saw that it was like 47% wr and thought what the heck...

got the first mark, made it to like 82% with like a 53% solo pub wr.

But I think I am going to give up the ghost.  I had the 140mm pen shell loaded because, reasons, and ran into a tier iv T40,  Hit him square on, did three modules damaged and one crew killed... wait for it.. "we didn't even scratch that one" no hp damage.

This game really sucks sometimes.  I mean where, anywhere does a T40 bounce a 140mm pen shell?  Even if I hit its tracks, wth, can 38 mm armor plus tracks stop 140 mm pen, but allow 3 crits plus dead crew, but no hp damage???

I do, but low shell velocity and high arc mitigate against sniping so... some scouting (passive) and much assault TD mode..

It doesn't look like you have ever played it. Am I wrong?

Missed 9 out of 9 fully zoomed in shots, yes I'm probably on WG's craplist for both MM and RNG but this was so bad I sold it and won't bother again.

it was a pain for me when i solo grind this tank with only 75% crew, had to get up close to be effective. Tier 6 is much better. The tier 7 is a disappointment and a pain. UDES is cool and worth the grind.

I agree and love the higher tier Swedes...

I just saw the IKV103 as everyone's bastard child that can not win.  And I saw a challenge..

two marks later...

I’ve done the whole line, all the way to tier 10. My quick thoughts:
- tier 5: too derpy. I like accurate guns.
- tier 6: use the mobility.
- tier 7: practice stealth, but grind through it ASAP
- tier 8 udes: it’s a keeper because it’s a ghost. Have to keep hidden and moving after shooting.
- tier 8 S1: credit making machine, play aggressive if you’re ever top tier. Bottom tier you’re a udes.
- tier 9: really starting to block some shots, but still best when invisible. Now the maps are too small though (Ensk: ugh). sold it.
- tier 10: it can be wonderful, the gun is absolutely amazing. BUT, tier 10 battles are fluid and hitting the X key to go into siege mode (and back out) now actually feels like a handicap because the flow of battle can move so quickly away from you, and tier 10 players are usually not stupid enough to drive into your gun. I’m still playing it daily to try to get 6,000 damage to finish TS15.3 for the T55a. Closest yet: 5,895. Ugh.

oh, final thought: I think my win rate in these tanks is generally lower than my overall win rate. I think it’s hard for these tanks to carry, and they’re more of a support tank.

The tank isn't particularly good, but I had good fun grinding through it. The shell speed and arc is frustrating, but allows for indirect fire over small ridges. Useful? Not really. Fun? I sure thought so when I lobbed a HEAT shell over a ridge into a tank that was waiting for me to actually crest said ridge to shoot him. I didn't stay on the tank long enough for the novelty to wear off or for the vehicle's lackluster performance to get truly irritating to me.

The tier 6 is not only better, it's a good representation of the role you should be playing from tier 6 and onward: Dedicated sniper / bush camper. I hope you don't give up before reaching the truly good TDs in the tree.
