Autoaim+ was not even remotely similar to aimbots.  It was simply a slightly more feature rich version of the Autoaim that's currently in the game.  Aimbots will lead moving targets, aim for weakspots etc.

Indeed. The mod version would allow you to right click *near* an enemy and engage the lock-on feature, or lock onto them if they were behind cover. This way you didn't have to pixel-hunt while right clicking to lock on. Aimbot is totally different because it aims for weak spots and leads the target for you.

I'm having a hard time seeing this 'active scouting' role being even remotely effective in the current meta. Few maps have the open space to actually make use of this mobility, and otherwise we've learned the hard way that high mobility is so viciously punished by hitting even the slightest bump in the terrain and flipping over or taking massive fall damage. And in tight corridors, this playstyle will be brutally countered by simply putting your back against a wall and returning fire. The wheeled tanks just won't have room to maneuver. Besides, relying on teammates to take advantage of spotted targets has been an inconsistent strategy, and at the high tiers just about all tanks can spot for themselves just fine. So I see a trilemma here.

 

A- If the wheeled vehicles are supposed to be dedicated scouts, why focus exclusively on suicide runs? Why not allow them to passive scout as well and give them the view range they need?

 

B- If the wheeled vehicles are supposed to be used to actively pursue, circle, and distract, why not give them very high DPM so that they actually pose a threat to flanked enemies?

 

C- If the wheeled vehicles are supposed to give fire support in the high tiers, why not give them adequate penetration?

personally I would enjoy this new version of auto aim being standard on all vehicles simply because it's just frustrating to have to right click again and again just to lock on.

Fastests and most maneuvarble vehicle in the game that is impossible to track? I fear rhat it would bring imbalance to the game. It is on the hopeless path of becoming more and more like arkade. This game is about tanks not racing vehicles.

Players will get these and still passively spot saying they dont have the view range.

Need maps to support these kinds of vehicle which we dont have but maybe 2 at most.

These vehicles are such a bad idea. Theyre going to be worse light tanks that dont actually serve a purpose in the game. They'll likely handle just as badly as the cars did in the 100 years of tanks event.

 

The special lock on should be added to all tanks (as there was a mod that did this exact thing before which was banned).

 

The "charge" is incredibly silly.

 

Youve created a class thats only purpose is to yolorush the enemy and die like a tomato. I really hope these things die before they ever make it in game. Lets keep the game about tanks and not complicate things with other vehicles classes that dont need to be here... you already made that mistake once... and it still haunts you to this very day.

So this game started as WWII, then went to the 1950s, then the 1960s now we are leaving tanks and going to wheeled TDs. When will you bring in the IFVs and ATGMs? Why not ground mounted TDs and Infantry? If I wanted all this clutter I could go to AW or WT. I use to love this game so much, now I don't even recognize it.

I think the French Wheeled Vehicles should be in tier 9 or tier 10.

A PzIIc on crack. With cheat mods. They'll either draw more players to the high tiers for even more self-flagellation, or they'll send even more of them to tier 3 to get away from the stress of it all.

For that matter, why bring in a post WWII French? You could bring in the PdKfz-234 Puma. It can have a 20mm, or 50mm in fully traversing turrets and a short barreled 75mm in a semi-turret.

trying to active scout anything with 310 view range lul with maxed out view range crew, food, and non bond equipment it only gets 388 view range (8 more then the base of the 2nd worst lt at tier 8)  that with an average/bad gun and prob bad cammo values :facepalm: gonna love having a bunch of suiscouts again but this time they wont sout anything

I'm all for adding variety and new tactics to the game. Bring on armoured cars and even half tracks. Best thing is that the arty haters can no longer claim SPGs are the only class that has special rules.
