Hey guys,

The British Duo Bundle is calling my name since it seems like a good price for both of those tanks. I've been wanting to pick up the 5/1 for a while now and its cheapest package comes with a full load out of equipment for 45.99 where as the bundle comes with both tanks(no equipment) and X5 xp for only 57.99. I know I want the 5/1 but the FV 4202 I'm not so sure about just wanted to get some thoughts and opinions on it in the current meta. I plan on going down the british medium line sometime in the near future so maybe two tanks for crew training wouldn't be bad lol. Thanks!

My opinion is that both of them are decent vehicles. You get better armor and a faster reload in a 5/1 but the fv gets slightly better gunhandling and mobility if i remember correctly. Either way i own both and enjoy both as it fits my playstyle. And dont buy the equipment bundles as you can easily ear rhe credits to get the equipment in those premium vehicles.

Both are Decent and have good gun handling and gun depression with fairly decent to above average Turrets -for the tier- outside of the tier they suffer like everything else but have decent mobility and flexability to contribute .

Yea it seems that the 5/1 is the stronger of the two. I remember that I owned the FV(after conferring with my service record) in the past so I could use one of my exceptions to recover the tank instead and get it's gold value when buying the bundle. That might be the most bank for my buck in this case.

Think of the FV as a tier 8 Cromwell and the 5/1 as a tier 8 Comet.

You can recover it through the in game comparison window, when you preview the tank a recover button will be at bottom

I have both, the RAAC is the superior of the 2.

The problem is that they are low alpha / ok pen guns that struggle with T8 super heavies and dont scale up well.

They are high skill ceiling tanks. I personally like them but it gets frustrating when you get a juicy flank shot only to see 190 damage come up over and over, so much so, that the red heavy calmly finishes his lunch and then turns to deal with the itch...

For me the one thing I dislike about the cent is how easy it is to lose a crew member or a module.

Both are cursed with low damage British guns, but otherwise decent.

They not bad.

But with the current match making template Tier VIII is a pain in the rear to play and because of that I have opted out to buy any recent ones until wargaming changes the mm!

Already have a 4202, but a 5/1 would be a Nice Addition...

I used the heck out of the 5/1 in frontline to grind up some crew skills for my Cent AX.  It performed surprisingly well there...

the cent 5/1 is a direct replacement for the tech tree tank and the fv4202 is troll armored so also more OP than the tech tree tank, you cant go wrong with either one.

I had them both sold them both.I sold the FV when 3 5 7 became a thing and the 5/1 because it's slow and the gun was wonky .I've never bounced so many fully aimed shots in my life like I did in the 5/1.I remember the hype about the 5/1 when it came out the streamers were screaming it's an 8.5 OMG no no it's not just another tier VIII premium that's not as good as the t44100 actually or the 40T.

Well, I can attest to the Armor on the 4202, can't say this is the Most I've Bounced in it, but it ranks right up there....

Trying to get it's First Mark, getting RNG'd to Death most of the Weekend, Garbage Teams.....        When I finally got it, I had to Lose doing almost 2K of my own Damage, Spot/Assist another 1500, and Bounce almost 3200 Points.....        It will Hold Up more often than Not, I've even Bounced a JPZ E100 with it right before Killing him.....

It's much better now than it ever was for me as a Tier 10 back in the Day....     I always felt it was Under Gunned and Under Powered at that Tier.....      The Move to Tier 8 was the best thing to ever Happen to this Tank....
