I think you either forgot to mention or forgot to uncheck the win requirement box. Had quite a few games now where my team lost I was in top 10 base xp and the xp didn't count.

Can anyone confirm this? If so, I won't bother doing it. I am sick of hidden win requirement in most of recent missions.

Overall, I would give this a 9.9 out of 10.

Being able to get a tier 8 prem for free is excellent.

The fact that you don't have to complete a daily style mission is great. We do have lives you know, but in general I love missions.

It's good that if you don't manage to complete all the missions you can buy the tank at a heavy discount.

The in game mission window is magnificent. Very clear and looks freaking awesome. Must better than some of the other interface changes of late.

Zero perk BIA - OMG.

Yes, some of the mission requirements are tough, but I view that as just the cost of doing business, so I'm neutral on that.

The only one teeny-weeny complaint is that you can only do the alternate missions in tier 10s. Don't you understand that there are 10 different tiers available to players, and not everyone wants to play tier 10s all the time?

Its set up so you HAVE to buy it.Dont know why you guys are so easily sucked into this.More noobs buying into tier 8.

I won't waste any of my time on this for another tank in the most toxic tier to play with the current MM.   Sorry.

False alarm! I checked it myself. There is not win requirement.

I've been watching it and it does give credit on losses. Idk why it didn't for those battles. I was 3rd in base xp one game and it didn't count.

I mean... it isnt... lots of people earned the Progetto fro free. And the T-44-100 and every other marathon tank that has been offered. I mean... if youre a bad I can see how you think its rigged so you have to buy it... but really it isnt.

Love the challenge but I'm only getting EXP credit in British tanks. Couldn't see anywhere that this was a requirement...

Is the EXP supposed to reset at each stage or is it cumulative? 12000 BASE EXP for Level 3 is 15-20 games for an average player so it appears WG is counting on most players to just buy it at discount, GREAT marketing strategy but not really a "free" tank.

It's suppose to be every tank that's 6 or higher. Sounds like you have the bug I had initially. The exp doesn't carry to the next level

It just went away as far I can tell. I didn't notice any other "missed" xp. If I had to guess I'd say restart the game. Sorry for late post.

Since you have made the game more costly to play it is now impossible to play anything above tier 7 and consistently make credits without paying premium.

That has been true since day 1.  There has been no stealth nerf of profitability, unless you're firing more prem shells than before.

Except premium shells are free.

Anyone else having problems of getting the 'British Challenge' info to load in game?
I get the spinning wheel with "Loading Content' and never loads. Others in the game chat are saying they're getting the same issue.

Hey there!

First let me start by saying these progressive discount reward challenges are awesome and I dont want them to ever go away!

Historically speaking there were grinds like this but you only got the tank if you were able to grind all 250,000 exp which I have not done the math but looks similar. This was generally associated to an on track so it was while trying to work for another tank any way but as others have mentioned 250,000 exp is a real grind. My math could be a bit wrong as I am working off memory but I believe the new model is about 293,000 exp. Not a big fan of the increase but the fact that it can be done in any tank does help as you dont have to deal with trying to do it in under performing tanks.

As with many things though there can be impacts that dont seem to be directly connected but could be. For example by implementing something like this where there is just a exp grind option then you run into the possibility more people will run botting software which can overall make the enjoyment of each match drop. Another example is by having tier 10 specific accomplish able missions that are generally broad in design it does cause players to change play styles that may cause worse performance in a match. To elaborate if the mission is block 5000 dmg and all i have is Mediums that generally dont block but I decide just trying might be better chances are the player is putting themselves in bad positions trying to get the mission which in turn can lesson the performance of the team.

Some recommendations to help enhance this challenge feature:

  • Begin offering this same option for older premiums... not just new designed ones.
  • Allow for achievable options to bypass the exp grind on tier 8 and above. (gives an option to new players that just dont have tier 10's)
  • Lower the exp requirements on the higher milestones preferably lower than 250,000 as even that was a grind that as a working member in society I only achieved getting twice in the last 7 years.
  • Allow not just base exp to count but also the premium boost from the account (not the tanks). This will on average reduce the grind experience by about 33%.
  • As mentioned above for potential drawbacks of having specific missions that players may not have proper tanks for it might be best to remove this side of the feature entirely. If not then I recommend making missions per milestone have options based on the tank your playing. Sadly the best model would not be just a broad light, TD, medium, Heavy, and spg mission but would have to be specific to the type and the style that tank plays. For example if playing a light that does not have great cammo but is fast then it is better to play active scout which means they would be looking for assistance not spots.

Either case I tip my hat to you Wargaming with this feature :)

Hoping for continued fun,

Shrineking

Day one ground out 21k exp. Day two ground out 24k. Day three (I believe thanks to YouTube the players who stopped playing 6 months ago found out about the marathon and decided to give it a go) ground out 13k. Day 4 average 300 exp. a game due to constant losses. It will only take 63 games to get the 19k a day exp I need to stay on track. Who else is with me on the pain front? For those of you lucky enough to have good games/teams grats. Update: The heavens opened and the tank gods smiled on me. I'm good to go again.

Progression in experience is way to steep for average player. Someone else mentioned how second or third in damage and 11th or 12th in experience, what gives?  Doubling experience needed  is to steep when you only get base experience, Also experience earned should carry over to next level rather than having to start over at zero every step. Average player loses interest very quickly.

I have said it before I'll say it again. The top three damage dealers (not xp) should get full credit on the losing team. It's not their fault the team didn't perform. Yeah, TDs suck for getting xp.
