The mastery missions are hard for only 1 reason: giant influx of bot-like players in tier X for this campaign. Normally I don't mind all tier X matches, but to have to get high caliber when everyone is taking heavies...

I'm not a unicum but I'm also not half bad with slightly people recents. Unless you're crazy lucky or a true unicum, playing tier X is just an exercise in rising your blood pressure.

Next time we have one of these, can the mastery mission be tiers 8-10? At least spread out the bots a bit

Hi again, everybody!

Today is the first day of the British Challenge! If you haven't heard about it, be sure to check out our article here: Take the British Challenge!

Or, just check out this nifty video:

Now that the Challenge is live, we'd like to hear your feedback. What do you like about it? Dislike? What could be improved upon?

Please leave your constructive feedback, comments, and suggestions below. Every bit helps out!

Thanks! I hope you enjoy the new Challenge!

IMO too many different missions and other stunts to keep track of. I am hoping it all takes care of itself. Not sure all these grinds aren't contributing to the increasingly crappy gameplay - seems we get lots of 2min yolo lopsided affairs recently - esp on 3x or 5x days. But its your game.

I like the idea of this type of challenge for a new tank, but instead of making a challenge that is SUPER grindy, and catered to the end game, make it to where there are other options for those in the lower tier have the possibility of achieving this tank as well.

It is only a Tier 8 tank, but to have it where only the 'later' half of the game can acquire it or be able to reduce the cost of purchasing it seems a bit unfair.

I can achieve this tank through the most grindiness of experience in the history of grinding, (seriously, no other game, not even MMOs make you grind this much, least not without boosters) but I think it would be nice to let the others have a chance of getting this tank.

I missed the Progetto, but my clan mates hated doing it. It is why I am the ONLY one in my clan attempting this challenge, even though I have a lot of Tier 5s, but hey, need to grind silver with my premium tanks I got in the summer sale for those Tier 6s

On another note, should be cumulative exp, not restarting with more exp to gain. 145k is a lot to get when you don't let boosters or dailies count.

Bloodlustknight they are a company. You think they did this out of the kindness of their heart? They could have given it away. They offered it to as many players as possible and made the requirement as steep as possible while seeming possible. For most they will make it to 90% off if they grind hard. They could have let tier 8's and 9's or tiers 6 and up for that matter do the fast track missions. They kept it to tier 10's. Why to keep the 10's slamming the 8's the most played tier. They don't need a fast track they are the highest tier and should make the most xp per battle assuming they carry the team like they are supposed to. No this will make them more money than tank sales. People will not to want to have wasted their time and open their wallets. You sell a bundle people aren't invested and they can pass on it easily.

Was plugging away just fine over the previous few days, then our internet went out on the 20th, and it didn't come back online until the 22nd. So now it feels like this molehill has become a mountain all on its own, and has pretty much killed my interest in finishing the grind for the tank. Probably will just finish part 7 for the style, then say "to hell with it", since I'm not that interested in burning myself out trying to finish the last 3 parts in less than a week to get a free tank.

Prize not achievable!  As usual WoT dangles the carrot, and the player gets whipped by the stick!  I made it to Stage VII by the time I realized 8, 9 & 10 were entirely unachievable in the idiotic time frame made available.  After over 2+ yrs of playing you think I would learn that WoT never ponies up the prizes it extends. Yet, I hadn't learn my lesson! I expended an enormous amount time to get to Stage VII only to get bogged down in the endless defeat after defeat after defeat (despite my regularly posting very respectable battle performances) that lasted 3 days, thereby preventing my obtaining the necessary experience points to keep me on track to the prize.

so what's my prize?  Absolute FRUSTRATION!!!!!! I should have realized this was like the other "Prizes/Awards" WoT offers, like the non-existent "Gold Sheriff" Mission which no player can say they have ever seen, or these new Personal Campaign Mission where you have to achieve 3000 damage points in a single battle, and then have to do it 5 times to move to the next tier. I'm playing Tier 7 tanks and very very very rarely do I see any player get 3000+ damage points in a single battle, so these missions are just another "Carrot & Stick" that ends in Absolute Frustration -I still haven't been able to achieve Operation Stug IV personal missions (with Honors) - it can't be achieved by Tier IV tanks like WoT claims. So, by the time you reach tanks levels that can complete the missions a Tier IV AT Tank is a crappy prize! Who wants then?! I know....I know: "Just Play Better", problem is I'm not a "Noob" or bad player.  I can hold my own with most good players out there. So the real problem is that: WoT uses an out of touch Development Team that has absolutely no concept of what the actual battles are like ( despite their claim they "Play Too" ). There are the constant Mis-Matches of Tanks & Tanks Crew Levels, Shot Dispersion Rates (misses) that are often obscene -however no enemy shots at me ever seems to miss (tearing me up)...way too ANP's or Rico's....FRUSTRATION>FRUSTRATION>>FRUSTRATION!  "Sorry Your Frustrated" as an endless answer from Customer Service is no longer an acceptable response. This is really just an "Elitist Player" game that only caters to highest tiered players and "credit card warriors" and ignores the new or developing player trying to get good crews, tanks, consumables... etc. And that's why most of the remaining players on WoT are the "Super Tankers" players. Hope they can continue to support this game, because if they can't and new players keep leaving WoT is going to have a Dinosaur Game on it's hands.  The Credit Card Warriors have a stake in this too because if WoT's participation levels drop so low they have to fold up, all that money you spent? Non- Refundable!!!! So, glhf all.:coin:

I am enjoying this challenge.  I like that base XP is what applies so win or lose you make reasonable progress when you play well.

Well I monitored what my cost would be as I went along in the challenge, and decided to buy the tank bundle with my 80% discount. To my surprise, the bundle you buy shrinks as you gain more % off.  That's a little shady if you ask me.

It isnt when you realize that it shrinks because youve already gotten the stuff from the missions. The bundle contains everything that the stages give as rewards, and as you move along the stages and get the various rewards they go away from the bundle and the bundle is discounted.

Dude...

- The requirements for each level were shown in advance on the web.  I think you could also click on the future levels in the in-game UI. You have only yourself to blame there.

- In the new campaign, the 3000 damage requirements are for SECONDARY requirements.  They only increase the speed at which you complete the missions.  You can still do them without doing 3000 damage.

- If you read the forum you'd know that there are actually Sheriffs starting to appear again.

You're ridiculous.

Hey, folks!

I really appreciate the feedback and comments you've shared so far, and included them on my first report.

I am now working on a final report since the British Challenge is about to end (tomorrow). Now that you've had more time to take part in the event, how are you liking it? Anything in particular that you dislike? Any previous feedback that might have changed?

Feel free to reply below with your comments, suggestions, and feedback.

Thanks! :girl:

A few years ago I would have done the grind, but I stopped at level 4 once I watched some streamers play the tank. Why in the world do they stick the Brits with such puny pea shooters. I already have too many Brit mediums, I don't need another one disguised as a heavy.

A few things i disliked?

The fact that it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE (at least for me) if you miss a SINGLE DAY of the marathon.

Either add a few extra days to make up for it if people have to, or make the marathon less dreadful, speaking of which,

Do it like the old marathons would, like the T 34 B/IS 6 B/ Scwarzpanzer 58, and have it of daily missions, increasing in difficulty, and chances that if you missed a day you still had many chances, and was actually skill based.

I get that it's a BRAND NEW tank for the marathon reward, but come on, most players wouldn't even mind a Centurion 5/1, or an ELC EVEN 90 marathon (just throwing it out there y'all should do a marathon for a tier 8 premium light tank should be a reward), or even the 50TP prototype.

Overall...good event. The progressive discounts are really nice. The problem is that many people don't seem realistic about their ability and free time to grind that much base XP. I went into the Progetto and Caern AX events with the goal of completing stage 7, got there, and then bought the tank. Without these events, I probably wouldn't have either tank.

I think the tier X missions are unrealistic. My WN8 is a bit above 2000 and when reviewing the missions I thought I might be able to realistically complete 2 of them (I got one tier X mission done, it probably saved me 3-5 battles). These missions seem designed to essentially take the same amount of time as it would take to grind out the base XP missions. I think they could be toned down a bit, or open to more tiers (say 8-10), so it actually seems like good gameplay is rewarded.

Its doable. The higher tier tanks one has, obviously the easier it is. High tier light tanks especially. The Tier 10 alternatives (Mastery Missions) were much more difficult than the regular grind, but none of it was a painful as the XP grind through the lo tier Polish Tech Tree. The Caern AX is ok, I quit after completing 40% because I just don't have the time to grind the XP. Played it a few times but the server is a bit crazy with all the players last minute grinding for it, so pub "strategies" were even less predictable. But as others have said, the lo alpha means you're playing it more like a MT, add Tier 8 matchmaking and brawling/trading HP simply means death. However the overall grind of the British Challenge doesn't make people purposely do dumb things and throw matches like some of the campaign missions do.

So not awesome, but didn't feel like crawling on glass. So the effect I guess you were shooting for - keep us in it, but don't spoil us.

I dislike losing half my xp constantly for getting placed on a team that sits behind the arty and doesn't fire because they are scared they may get spotted. What makes this worse is it happens repeatedly. How about top three damage dealers on the losing side keep all the xp?

Couldn't agree more... Making the alternate route achievable only via Tier X tanks was a mistake. It should have been Tiers VIII - X at the very least to encourage more people to play Tier VIII's, generating more indirect sales and increasing player traffic at that Tier since it's already a disaster - more players, more balanced matches, right? And yeah, I noticed quickly that trying to get High Caliber medals in this marathon was highly unpredictable - heck, even trying to get 850 baseXP at Tier X was difficult because of the horrible players all trying (or not trying) and flooding the servers.

Bottom line, WarGaming dropped the ball on this marathon in a number of ways that resulted in alienating their players even more; Base XP is a horrible grind, especially when it's designed to be difficult even for an experienced player. Rewarding Tier X tanks differently was not the right approach, and again alienated and segregated the players. I personally doubt I'll attempt another marathon if they don't change the parameters, which is saying a lot because I've participated in (and achieved) every other mission offered in the past 5 years.

And, Grav, your "slightly people recents" are still showing!

x.

I would love if they could make it on xp in general and not just base

Then I might have a use for the 400x xp boosters and cap the tier requirement for secondary at the the tier tank you can win
