250,000 XP for a Tier 2 light tank that still can see Tier 4 tanks, at a Tier where everything else sees no higher than Tier 3, and gets clipped by 3-man Platoons of M2 Lights running around spamming APCR? Sounds great to me!

On tracks used to be exciting. Tier 5-6 Premium tanks were given out. Now, it's just Tier 2 light tanks that everybody already owns, or nobody really wants.

I do love the K-91, so the other bonuses are still cool, but it used to be a lot better. No, I'm not greedy... :harp:

Now if only they gave people who got 250k xp on that tank line, 90 days of prem, 15 mill credits,or something actually worth grinding out that amount of XP.

It's pretty funny how On-tracks used to give 3 pieces of (relevant) equipment and a tier 5-6 premium that was relevant to the line (Chi-Nu Kai for Japanese mediums, for instance) and now all we get are locusts (and now we've sunk even lower, to a T2 Light, literally the lowest, cheapest premium available) that has absolutely no relevance to the line that's on-track. I mean, even when it's easy like now... The USSR Mediums have LOADS of low tier prems that could've been given as a reward, but that would require some coding or something... So it's better to just keep it as a T2 Light.

Extremely disappointing. If you want people to participate in events, you should try making it worth their time. Just a thought. Personally, I'll be using the event to buy a 430 II and then shelving it for a few months.

Three years ago the tank would have been a Matilda IV.

Free stuff is great and I appreciate the equipment at the 4 and 8 marks, but a third piece of equipment would be worth more than a tier 2-3 that isn’t relevant to the line. Maybe if you were giving out the T-29 or some other low tier RU med it would make sense. It’s just disappointing to see what used to be something to get excited about turn into essentially another mission to be ignored.

That said, I plan to buy the 430 II tonight and grind it with the British Challenge as well, so I may wind up with a free tier 2 anyways if I have the free time.

Those rewards are a bit excessive considering the mission counts daily doubles prem time and reserves. The spirit of the missions is to help people grinding the line get there faster, not get people to sink extra time into a line for premium time.

Its kind of like an either or for people grinding down that line. Back in the day WG had missions that you can knock out every other match which net you 50 - 100k in credits. I do not remember exactly but everyone was making tons of credits for the few days those were up.

On-Tracks used to give bonus credits. It turned every tank on the line into a premium, and it was worthwhile to do daily doubles all the way up the tree even if you weren't planning on grinding the whole 250K. My playing time crashed when the On-Tracks turned into little more than the crew experience booster.

You do get equipment still: A gun rammer, and Gun laying drive. There are also many in game boosters and if you are not a fan of the tank or have it then you get 320k credits and a garage slot.

Oh, boy, 320k credits? That's peanuts. But, just a few short years ago, we used to get the Gold equivalent, and of better tanks to begin with... These "missions" used to be entertaining when you could possibly profit 2k Gold (or more) because you already owned the Tier V/VII tank that was the standard giveaway.

Basically, if you can't understand the direction of the thread yet, most people aren't happy with these On-Track events any more.

Or, the old saying, "you catch more flies with honey" also applies.

x.

You should advertise this for the discounts, not for the free tank, because what we get for a free tank these days, pales in comparison to what we used to get.

As someone who has been doing On-Track Missions for over 4 years I have seen many of the positive features cut, and I have lobbied in the forums to have the 250,000 XP requirements cut by the same measure the rewards have been cut back.  Even dropping it to 20,000 per segment would be good.  The old system needed players to earn 18,500 per day over 14 days.

But it seems instead of that WG has extended the number of days the On-Track runs by 7 days.  This reduces the daily grind from 18,500 to 11,904 XP.  I guess that is better than nothing.  Really the ONLY thing left for the On-Tracks is the 30% discount on the tier 6-10's.

Nope

I'm aware that you still get 2 piece of equipment, and I'm aware that you get credits and a garage slot-- my point is that not too long ago, the rewards for on-track missions were much, much better. It seems arbitrary to cut the rewards for something that's supposed to incentivize people. Like, I can't honestly think of a good reason to go from 3 pieces of equipment down to 2. I can't think of a good reason why the reward tank would go from a Matilda BP (for instance, in this case, since it's a USSR medium line and reward tank) to the T2 Light tank. It makes the on-track event seem hollow.

There has been news that WG is looking to revitalize the On-Track event(s) to make them more engaging. I agree that the event needs a face-lift, but the reason they need a face-lift is because the rewards and incentives have been gutted in the past years! Why are you surprised that nobody cares about On-Tracks anymore when you guys are removing the rewards for caring about the events?

I made it to the Object-430 II (loved it) and then wargaming fumbled around on the line and screwed the vehicle totally up. Wargaming calls that putting the tanks in line.

If you ask me is a bunch of utter horse manure!

The K-91 is garbage tank and that is not only my humble opinion looking at the vehicle stats world wide. Besides the point that I only have seen a few in the game since it was introduced.

I like the game, but I have more important stuff to do then spending an ungodly amount of time grinding to get a T2 light for free....LOL

PS. With the atrocious 3-5-7 matchmaking template, the sound bugs, broken spotting mechanics, sorry map selection/rotation and the abysmal RNG just to mention a few. With all these unplesantries I have noticed that am spending less and less time (and money) playing World of Tanks.

Essentially if you want a good tank you'll have to buy it or grind the tech tree spamming premium like a [edited].

I guess the cost of electrons to make tanks has gone up, darn inflation!
