Honestly, the main buffs here that will be noticeble will be the mobility  tweaks, the pen buffs seem so small that given that you got the 25% varience either way it has not been noticeble to me, and 187 is still LOW pen for teir 8. The T32 gets 198 and its one of the few bad aspects of that tank. Frankly, the main problem is the 3-5-7 matchmaking, the tier 10s and 9s that they will run into if they lose the preferential mm will drive the use and sales of these tanks even further down than they already are.

So WG is still at it, over thinking a problem. All proffered MM vehicles were intended to face more lower tiered vehicles with a few same tier and very few higher tier.   There is a simple fix for this just drop all PMM by one tier. and leave the stats alone. Sadly WG is bound and determined to make all of the tier 8 PMM vehicles face tier 10 tanks as the main reason for the new MM format is to feed tier 10 tanks a steady stream of lower tier tanks while facing fewer tier 10s so the purple people eaters can keep their all important stats looking good. The proof of this is the top down way they fill the Q. All they would have to do is go to a bottom up fill system and must of the true issues would be fixed, except of course feeding tier 8s to tier 10s.

I have to say... I've been waiting for a fix to the matchmaker for a LONG TIME!   Seriously every survey I get I mention it.  Fix the core functionality, the matchmaker.  I'm just happy they are finally doing something!  It really destroys the fun in the game when 80% of your games you are bottom Teir.  From that perspective I'm happy.  I know the JigTig8.8 and its the worst tank in the game easy... so excited that this is getting a buff.  I'm not sure this buff will be enough but at least it is a step in the right direction.   Are there more things needs, yes but I'll take it for now!  Thanks WG for finally FINALLY listening to your community!!!!!

I'll probably still play my Type 59 from time to time, but my kv-5, is-6, FCM 50t, Alpine Tiger and super pershing will just sit in the garage.

Does this make the T55a the only pref mm crew trainer?

Our initial plan is to look at ways to change the matchmaker and control distribution among all six template possibilities.......The 3-5-7 matchmaking for tier VIII vehicles is absolutely garbage since it was introduced 9.18 on April 18, 2017.

Not long after the introduction complaints starting to arise on the forum on every server about the mm issue.

Over one year has passed and now wargaming is looking into improve the MM???

Sounds like a bad joke and shows that nobody at wargaming cares about the player population.

It also is very apparent looking at server statistics that people on all servers are leaving this game because they getting tired of wargaming's constant lip service!!!

Jagdtiger 8.8 already has a 5.18 second reload in-game with no modules. How is 5.1s, 0.3s less than 5.18s?

Logically 5.18 -0.3 = 4.88

Going over the gun by itself, its listed fire rate is 11.1 seconds. Which means its base reload is 5.40540

I still find it rather odd that you dont specify the change when considering a 100% crew.

They are showing, basically, the base stats of the tank with only a 100% crew and no modules equipped.  In short, 5.1s is the base with 100% crew, now, throw in your modules...and you will have a reload closer to what you put there.

And if you do not believe me, unequip your modules and replace the crew with 50% members...

Jagd Tiger will still be (I think) a weakling. Panther 88 and Tiger II both suck now at T8 with the 88 L71.  The 88L71 just can't perform as a "destroyer level" cannon at T8, much less T9.   I'd suggest you give it the 88L100 : you could still call it JT 88 but the performance would be much better. Plus it could carry a zillion rounds and be something akin to an arsenal ship- support it's team by shooting all day long.

Man ya'll need to leave peoples premium tanks the hell alone. We dont continue to give you our hard earned money for you to constantly screw with them.

I wish they went through with all the changes and pmm removal made some of these tanks worth playing

Only way to actually fix these tanks is to remove PrefMM. Otherwise they'll always remain garbage when compared with other tier 8s. These tanks are still going to be XP Pinatas for normal tier 8s and tier 9s.

That's old news. We already know all that.

The question is when will wargaming introduce the changes???

With wargaming's sense of urgency it might be next year before we see anything!

How about making it so there is only a one tier difference? So if I'm in my tier 8, I either see 7 and 8's or 8 and 9's or just 8's. Simple! If not, I'll take my money back also.

IS6 and those tanks need a pen buff to at least 190 to 200 . Or enjoy firing preem all the time at 1001Ps and O=Hos and lose you butt giving away credits .

The whole problem is the 3,5,7 match maker. I don't think anybody likes it. It sure isn't fair to the bottom tier which you will be 7 out of 10 times. We were told that they had to have this format because of wait times. This was back when there was two servers in the US. Now there is only one server so the player pool is much bigger. The price of this? My ping time went from 30-40 to 90-110. I'm on the west coast. Everyone that I have talked to through our clan has the same problem. There is also the random times when ping is crazy high. Some of our players have to deal with it daily. I only have it once or so a week. Is the ping playable? Yes and no, there are times when the lower latency is very obvious. Getting back to the match maker. Why can we not have same tier matches? Or even one up or down? Why must it be two? I can only think of one, WG wants the player to shoot more APCR. To use more credits per game than is rewarded so the player will buy with cash, credits. Pay to win. While we are on the subject. The Defender and Skorpion G are prime examples. These are way better than regular tanks at tier 8. Basically tier 9 or better armor and gun. The start of the arms race. Sure, the Defender has weak spots but you throw in distance, ping and RNG. You will be lucky to pen it even with APCR.

I have only been playing coming up on two years. I use to play 8-10 hours a day. Now, I only play 3-4 hours. Mostly with clan in strongholds. Why? Random match maker. I have most of the tanks I want. Strongholds is same tier. WG, why do you think Frontline was so successful? Because tier 8 vs tier 8. I remember having a hard time getting enough players for strongholds because everybody was doing Frontline. Give us more of this WG!

Last complaint, I know it's a video game. Arties are and were never this accurate. You would need a laser guided bomb to hit a tank at full speed. Frontline, let the player call in his own arty strike. There was a delay like real life feedback of targets. Arties should not get a satellite view of the battlefield.  Oh no the arty players will freak out if they can't play their tank. Then put a delay on what they see in arty mode. For the love of God, no more than two of them. Three is just too much in this game.

I was good to go just knowing you were gonna keep the PrefMMs at +1 instead of +2. Now buffs across the board only add to the enjoyment. Hard to believe there are still complaints.

I hope there will be potential refunds here. I don't like the idea of fighting tier 10 tanks in a Super Pershing even with 202 penetration.

They will NEVER see tier 10s!

Here's  a thought, just make each tier only match against one tier up and one tier down.  6s only see 5, 6 and 7s,  8s only see 7s 8s and 9s.   still can have same tier battles  ( all 8s , all 7s and so on.   tier 10s only see  9s and 10s.   I now don my flame resistant underwear.....
