Hey, everyone!

I've got one more piece of news for y'all today. In short, we're giving away a trip to Twitchcon!

How can you get in on this? Well, streamers using the hashtag "#TwitchConTanks" in their stream profile from 15:00-18:00 PT | 17:00-20:00 CT | 18:00-21:00 on Saturday, October 6th will be raided by members of our Community Team, who'll distribute bonus codes for all sorts of goodies to participants. We'll select a winner at random during the stream, who will be flown out to San Jose, set up in a hotel, and given a TwitchCon pass with a dedicated timeslot to stream the game at our booth!

This contest is valid for U.S. residents only. For full sweepstakes details, read our official Rules and Regulations page.

Also, check out our content article about the trip: Win a Trip To TwitchCon

Thanks, everyone! Hope you have a great day!

Do you need streamers to put that in?  My audiences are tiny, but I'd be happy to pass the word along.

Is it just me or does anyone else get how to do this? Put the hashtag in your own stream description during that time while streaming? Or am I totally not getting it?

Correct! You just need to put the hashtag in your stream description during the above-listed times.

Do you mean put it in the stream title? Or are you guys going to look into every wot stream to check for the tag. If it's in the title then it will pop up on the thumbnail when you search "worldoftanks"

Just add it to your title for your stream. For example: "Streaming tanks today! #TwitchConTanks"

Does it matter how many people we have watching at the time? I mean... I stream, but I haven't accumulated any daily viewers outside of 1 or 2.

Once again wargaming alienates more of it player base by running a contest/event for Residents of the United States of America

when will you learn  that the world does not revolve around the USA all the time  and do some contests for the Rest of the NA population as well

this is now beyond annoying and discrimination by Location

You don't have to be streaming yourself.  Just hop into one (or more) of the streams with that hashtag during that time frame and you'll have a shot at the codes/goodies/trip.

In fact, as a streamer, I wouldn't want to be eligible for any of that...just the viewers.

I would love to leave it open to Canadians, but this has to do with Canadian law.  Because of the value of the prize and the nature of the contest, Canada would consider this an "illegal lottery".

Sorry Cabbage, don't take it personal but,

If you were told it would be considered an "illegal lottery" you may be in need of new commercial and/or legal advice ...

To avoid the "lottery" you are talking about, all you have to do is ask the winners a skill-testing question like "What is the sum of 1+2+3 ?".

Done ! You are now in compliance with the law.

The major differences in American and Canadian Laws, in regards to contest, resides in the very strong legal protection Canadian citizens have against spam and fraud.

In a nutshell,

more info, ex-UBC adjunct professor

http://www.canadianadvertisinglaw.com/contests-faq/

includes How-to forms for the legal niceties

PS: If you want to run it in PEI or Québec, that gets a little more complicated but easily manageable.

Shout out to CabbageMechanic and Gnomon for putting on this fun event!

I had 2 viewers win Tiger 131 -> Complete with 0-skill BiA crews! Which happened to go very nicely with the article I just launched on my new website.

I didn't win the grand prize, but I'm pretty excited they gave me a T-54 first prototype as a consolation prize! Thanks guys I really enjoyed engaging with everyone on Twitch that night :)
