I have all but the top gun and I don't know which gun to stick with. I have fought with the 107, 100 and the 122mm and each has it pros and cons but the 100mm seems to be a better all around gun. I only have 17 battles in the KV-3 and that's not enough for a good data set. So the question is over time which is the better gun to grind with? My play style is ( I can't help myself) brawling and the 107mm has the best DPM but the 122 has better alpha(if rng smiles on you).

The problem with the D1OT is the very low DPM compared to the 12.2cm D25T and ZiS 1O.7cm gun options.

Besides that though, it does offer greater accuracy, greater gold round performance, and less aim-time. But it is really handicapped by DPM

Here is an easy metric for determining this:

Whichever gun has the best base pen, use it. If both are the same, then the best prem pen is next. In this case, its the 100mm.

Other things are dispersion @ 100m, which can be a determining factor, but depends on the tanks playstyle; damage, which is mostly player dependant; and ROF, which again is player dependant.

That is not a good rule of thumb; many tanks are best used with the higher alpha gun despite lower pen, and KV-3 is one of them.

SU-152 and Mle 51 are good examples of tanks that are best when using the bigger, low-pen cannon.  KV-3 doesn't have armour to play with, so it needs the alpha to make the enemies afraid.  That extra 28mm of APCR pen with the 100mm doesn't make a difference when you're dueling a T29 around a corner.

122 D25t all the way. Just make sure to backup and take cover as you reload!

Just whatever gun you want to get thru that tank asap.  Its not a keeper.  Seems prone to fires. Very meh, though tbh, it isnt horrible either.

As Illusive above noted however. If you are faced with a "which gun" scenario, generally you want the higher pen gun (excluding derps of course).   No pen=no damage.  You want pen to be reliable. The rest, like damage or rate of fire, can be worked around.

Typically you want the gun that allows for trading HP in your favor.  That's going to be the 122mm D-25T.  It's a good enough gun at tier 7 to do work.
